Did TFW2005 just... dissappear?
 

So, I was just browsing TFW, and I was typing a reply, and when I hit submit the page says the website has moved to a new server. The hell?

The same happened to TN a couple hours back. I guess it finally happened to TFW now. Give it about 10 minutes (That's how long it took for Tokunation to come back online).

It has to do with them moving to another server, I believe.

Digital Millennium Copyright Right. What it means is even IF TFW comesback it's not going to be the same.

I had a feeling this would happen but I'll admit this was quite sudden.

They're just changing servers. This site did exactly the same thing yesterday, and when you consider how much bigger TFW is than Tokunation it's bound to take longer.

The DMCA thing sounds like ridiculous rumour to me.

Yeah, it seems odd that TFW would get shut down and Hisstank would get a pass, as I would think Hasbro actually probably has a trademark on the Hiss Tank name.

Came in here to say the same thing. It actually took hours for Tokunation, not just minutes, and the amount of information that would have to bee transferred and restore for TFW is a whole lot. It's entirely reasonable that it would take a long time.

However, warnings on the site itself beforehand (and this goes for Tokunation too...) instead of after-the-fact limited messages on Twitter (at the very least use more than just that guys when not everybody uses the same social media platforms, come on) would have been appreciated I'm sure.

It didn't take hours for this site. Tokunation was accessible within ten minutes of the message first popping up. It may have taken longer for your DNS to refresh, but the site wasn't offline for hours.

Good news. I just checked and it's back up right now. Just want to let everybody know.

I thoroughly enjoy the FB post an hour ago, well after the fact that its happening.
