My guess is it will be Forever Red part 2.

My guess is the author of the article/interview/whatever kind of created his/her own story with very little knowledge.

"It's the 20th Anniversary of Power Rangers. New season, Megaforce. Hey look! A poster that says 20 and a bunch of old Power Rangers on stage. Guess they'll be back in Megaforce!"

Considering casting isn't even done yet for this Megaforce series, I highly doubt there's ANY plans whatsoever at the moment to bring back previous Rangers. Hell, we don't even have anything FILMED yet.

I second these notions.

So we've gone from Mega Force whitewashing all the "angel" stuff from its storyline by reusing Megaranger scripts to potentially doing Gokaiger with Goseiger.

Huh. I'll just be waiting over here, when we finally know exactly what the heck Saban is doing.

If Saban was smart, they'd bring in these supposed historic rangers and build up some sort of fraternity of rangers setting up for the big team up with the Legend War leading directly into the Gokaiger adaption. That's what I want anyway.

Maybe Megaforce team will be made up of past Rangers?

Man, I know everyone's trying to come down on this series before it even comes out, but I'm an optimist, & I'd like to think that there is something special going down for next year.

That would require 100% new footage.

By past rangers, the people themselves as part of the team.

That could be interesting. I doubt I'll get into this series, but I'll definitely be giving it a chance. If not the show, I might look into the toys.

I want to be optimistic - but we heard "Samurai is like MMPR to Saban!" before and what did we get? 100% Google translated episodes storylines and dialogue. Not even MMPR was a translation from Sentai.

If Saban wants to make me, personally, happy he'll do this - use Megaforce as nothing more than building up to an EPIC season with Gokaiger adaption. Hint at the Zangyack well in the beginning of Megaforce - hell, carry the team over to the Gokaiger adaption and make it REALLY epic.

What is the difference between the Zordon era and every series since?

Heroes.

Tommy was a hero. Jason was a hero. Adam was a hero. That's why they're the three most popular Power Rangers - they were heroes. They were around for multiple seasons (Jason was MMPRS1, MMPRS2, Zeo, and Turbo movie).

Even Andros, TJ, Cassie, Ashley, and Carlos were heroes. We saw them grow over multiple seasons.

Now? We just get used to a character and they're gone. Maybe a team-up down the road, but otherwise no, they're gone and will never be seen again.

When was the last time anyone saw poor Sky from SPD? Never. Want a list of Power Rangers that have never returned, ever, in any team-up or anniversay season?

You guys realize that alot of what's coming out now is wild speculation, right? All we know for sure is that we're getting Goseiger. Anything else why not wait and see? As fun as your blind panic is to watch. Why would we want them back o_o I like to think of them in purgatory, as punishment for their crimes.

Didn't Zack's, Kimberly's and one other's actor return in Forever Red as the voices for the Beetleborgs? Also, I wouldn't call a character who has appeared in multiple seasons already to be one who has "Never returned."

And it seems Rocky's actor has been plagued by real life problems when it comes to returning :lol (The back injury that had him leave before Turbo and his moving that caused him to miss Forever Red).

And David Yost (Billy) had alot of personal problems to work though, which brought about his leaving MMPR to start with.

If veterans rangers come back then essentially that makes this the gokaiger Adaptation so what do they do when gokaiger comes over for real? The zords and morphing devices are already too heavily relying on homage factor

Ditto. Considering how the only thing that's Gokaiger-related that's being brought over here is the Legend War, this is probably what the person meant when he said "return of many historic Rangers".

Or Forever Red plus White Ranger....why idk.

It means that the Rangers will be traveling through time to beat the shit out of random historical figures. No reason, they're just dicks. Also, the historical figures turn into monsters. Also for no reason.

Then Mister Peabody and Sherman show up.

I'm pretty sure they won't be bringing back ANY of the old actors. They couldn't even get the actor for RPM for the Samurai cross over, so I think it's very unlikely they'll do a Gokaiger style thing with the actual actors returning.

Like others have said, Gokaiger relies too heavily on the gimmick of the old ranger. Their morpher and zords have the theme, not to mention Gokai Silver's gold mode. I don't see how they can cut all of that stuff out and still have a show for 2015.

I think they are just referring to the legend war here, perhaps it's being used as the start of the series that will eventually lead into Gokaiger? Some kind of continuation like that could be a neat idea, and anything that means this won't be a complete carbon copy of Goseiger is good, in my opinion.

I am pretty sure that was Walter Jones (Zack) and Catherine Sutherland (Kat) who did voices for the Machine Empire Generals.

Apparently that whole 'Megaranger scripts' thing was just some bull started by someone on Rangercrew, trying to find the original article.
What concerns me is we've had it confirmed by the production team that they hate the Disney seasons because they didn't work on them so I'll laugh if we get any of them as guest stars in this.

Poor Catherine Sutherland, her career went from Power Rangers to being a corpse someone could jack off to in The Cell.

It was a bizarre idea to begin with, so I'm not surprised that it wouldn't actually be accurate. I'll still be holding off on any conclusions about the series until we have something concrete because it's too ridiculous building up theories based on single sentences in the meantime.

I know what you mean, I'm saving final judgement for when an actual episode airs. I will be surprised if Megaforce isn't a right up dub like Samurai and in case anyones wondering, yes PRS is legally classed as a dub in terms of production.
Heck there entire writing staff (minus the guy who wrote Forever Red) are the translators from the Unicron Trilogy.

I am overly optimistic about my pessimism to Megaforce.
