What do you want to see the most out of Megaforce?
 

You decide! Just random options I've been picking up on here and at other forums.

Ooh, it's a hard choice between "An original story not a loosely translated Goseiger story" and "Better and more Goseiger toys as Megaforce". In the end I went for the original story. I want to care about Power Rangers like I did with RPM again.

Close draw between "New and Better Story" and "Pissed that it's not Gokaiger." I went with the new story because I do like the show's designs when they aren't ostrich-based and I wouldn't mind seeing them in a good show. ('Sup, Sentai).

Of course, given how Samurai turned out, it could still turn out to be a total mess. I'm willing to give it a shot, though.

I voted for Gosei Green. I loved the Mystic Brother mech, I loved the combination with Gosei Great and Datas, I loved the costume. I'm happy we're getting Goseiger. I want a direct translation from Gosei into Megaforce. And the toys were already epic. If nothing else, I'm hoping we get DX Mechs like we did with Jungle Fury/Geki.

I voted better toys, but the story one was closely following it.
I don't want a translated Goseiger story. I could just watch Goseiger subbed.

Am I right that is is the first time, in a long time, that we got the Red/Blue/Yellow/Pink/Black color scheme like in Zyu/MMPR?

Red/Blue/Yellow/Pink/Black was also used in In Space and Operation Overdrive.
Hell, they both go one step further by having the same 6th Ranger color as Gosei/Megaforce :lol

I just don't want another shot by shot remake of another sentai ...

I picked "Past Rangers Returning". It's a damn anniversary year, do something epic with it Saban, I don't give a damn about "fun online games!" or "recycled pictures on our Facebook page".

And update your damn Power Rangers website to reflect the Gold Ranger in the line-up for Zeo, damn it. >_<

Original story please. I'd like to be able to tune in and not know what happens weeks before.

Decent actors who don't sound like they're reading cue cards. Oh, and past Rangers.

The acting has gotten better though. Look at Antonio, he's one person I wouldn't mind them using again in Megaforce. Just like I hope the man playing Ji does the voice for Gosei Knight. That'd be epic.

An original story. If this truly is going to be a throwback to MMPR then give us a real throwback to the MMPR era, with a new story based on the footage of Goseiger. In the days before fansubs were commonplace, I didn't mind the straight up adaptions like Wild Force, but now I can go watch Goseiger right now; I'd rather see something new.

But not everyone has seen Goseiger, and doesn't know the source material. As fans we can easily say "I saw it, fan-dubbed and the original japanese with subtitles!". But there's alot of people, alot of fans even, who've never seen Tensou Sentai Goseiger and would like seeing a direct adaptation. Or people like me who loved the original so much they hope Saban doesn't change a thing.

Thing is, it's not 2004 anymore. The series raws and completely subbed are both widely and readily available for download.

The reason why I'm against direct adaptations is because we wouldn't have gotten series like In Space or Dino Thunder. It's fine that you loved Goseiger, but I fail to see why you have to watch it again except this time with English dialogue.
We took 6 (Sorta 7) unconnected series and made our own story, and while I'm not expecting a multi-series epic, I would like to see how we could make Goseiger our own.

I know you love Goseiger, but change is for the better really. Okay the target audience have probably never seen Goseiger, but if they were to turn out anything like us they might one day want to watch it. And personally I'm far more fascinated by the Super Sentai series that have fundamental differences from ones the Power Rangers series I grew up watching.

Kids aren't going to care either way whether its a straight adaptation or not, but if they're loving Samurai I don't see how Saban can do much worse straight up changing Goseiger's plot. If the Goseiger fans don't like it, they've still got the original Sentai series to fall back on. However creating a brand new story gives the series a second chance at having a bigger fan base, and god knows if any series needs that its Goseiger. Look at RPM, there are plenty of people who hate Go-Onger but love that. And there's some who even think the other way around. Having two completely different shows is what makes adaptations interesting for older fans, and for that reason alone I think Megaforce would benefit from an original story.

(For the record, I don't hate Goseiger :lol I thought it was a disappointing series that showed massive potential but fell short of it in several areas. I've always maintained that it could make an excellent Power Rangers series though)

Good toys for sure. I was satisfied with Goseiger's story, and I don't mind not seeing past rangers.

I thought the toys were alright myself but I'm interested to see if BOA can toy around with them a little. The figures themselves are simplistic enough already that what they do won't hurt them much.

Exactly. It wouldn't cost them much, given how simple the Mechs are, to just bring them over as DX's. But Bandai will probally make them small like Samurai Megazord so they can combine together and add to the playabilty. Still hoping we get both, like with Jungle Fury.

Goseiger is something of a guilty pleasure of mine. I've watched it twice in its entirety, and I wouldn't mind seeing it again in English.

I think that's what going to happen, cb. If it is a direct translation, and even not one, Gosei will almost certainly be Master Header. And later on in the series give them their Miracle Headers.

I would love something original. The only reason I haven't watched Shinkenger is because I've seen the English butchering of Samurai ... I haven't watched Goseiger (maybe for the next "Let's Watch Wednesday") ... but if I do, I hope it'll be refreshingly different than the Megaforce counterpart.

Matrixbeast hits the nail on the head, Sentai. Nothing is taking Goseiger away from you and the show's other fans. You can download a sub and keep it and watch it and rewatch it. Why would you want to see Goseiger with American inserts of new actors saying the same lines?

To me, super sentai and Power Rangers has always been like Macross and Robotech. Both are cool even though the latter takes a lot of it's content from the former and changes the story. Same idea.

If Megaforce is a good show, then the kids who are really into it will grow up and discover super sentai just like those of us who were introduced to super sentai from MMPR did. And then they will learn that the original versions are much different from what they know -- just like we did! :)

Please lord don't let the production team made another dub.

Megaforce will do better if it does its own story plus I kinda want to see them use flying bikes. Maybe have the bikes transform into a seafaring form as well.
