Wtffffff they had the final battle filmed from the first opening....

Pretty epic fights, sad moment that was spoiled by last week's preview unfortunately
looks like final battle next week, then Ghost crossover |

Heart and Medic teaming up with the riders reminds me of Gekiranger with Ryo and Mele teaming up with the Gekirangers. |
You know, considering Chase's appearance in the Ghost crossover, I'm not sure he's perma-dead. And I think I know how he could have done it. Remember how his Proto-Drive memories were locked up in the Prototype Shift Speed? Well, it's conceivable that he might have backed up his memories into Signal Chaser. If it's true, then this is foreshadowing going all the way back to Movie War Full Throttle, and how Kouta backed himself up in the Kiwami Lockseed.

Just skimmed through the Raw.
Why did Drive, Heart and Medic leave Mach and Chaser to fight 3 Reapers and the insanely broken Gold Drive? And didn't Medic have some skill to quickly destroy cores....? But still, goodbye Chase - thank you for everything. |

But still, I really want my Chase back :,( |

Basically how I wanted him to go when I heard he was going to die. Driver destroyed, transforms into Mashin Chaser. I do wish his fight had lasted slightly longer though, at least enough for him to get a few more good punches in. Also, before his final go, it would've been perfect if he had said something along the lines of "I am Kamen Rider Chaser, a protector of humanity, but for you, I am the Grim Reaper."
|
Easily on par if not better than the final episodes of Kamen Rider Gaim.
Bravo Drive. Glad you turned the ship around. |
Did anyone notice Mach in the preview? Seems he's using the Chaser Signal Bike, his suit is a lazy kitbash sort of like Dead Heat. Should be cool to see anyway though!
Great episode in any case, but yeah, the fact that Drive, Medic and Heart (possibly the strongest fighters) left Mach and Chaser to do the heavy lifting was kind of weird. Guess the plot needed an excuse to let Chase sacrifice himself for Gou, and the excuse was...dump planning from the characters. But ok. It also seems a little contrived that Gou forgot Mad Doctor exists, but eh. I did love the scene with the vehicles and the spikes. I've been wondering what the hell was up with those for ages so seeing them at last was great. Also, the bikes used the same Shift Cars that the figuarts came with, so that's fun. |

Farewell Chaser :(

Nice episode, we're closing in on the final episodes. Strangely I wasn’t to much emotionally involved with Chase's death, probably because there's no reason for this and it just kind of happens. The final transformation into Mashine Chaser was kinda nice though.
But that new Mach Form - half assed form is super half assed. Like, the lazy-levels are off the charts. At least paint the entire suit gray and make his visor purple or something... Kamen Rider has proved several times how good these suits can work – take Yomotsuheguri for example. It's just existing parts mixed without any effort (I don't really count the new cloth piece as much of an effort) but painted up in great colors and with new details which makes it stand out. A Chaser/Mach-combo could have worked out the same way, but this is just laughable. |
This episode was excellent, but so sad at the end. Chase was a great character, I wish they wouldn't kill him. Where are all those Production Model Machs? I thought they're supposed help the riders, but we've only seen Kamen Rider Jun so far. I noticed that the vests that Gen and Rinna were wearing were the Production Model Machs' vests. The Mach and Chaser fusion form is pathetic. I wish they would've done a Deadheat style form. The Sigma thkng in the next episode is really creepy.
RIP Chase:( |
Really great episode. Loved pretty much everything in it. It was just really nicely done superhero action with high stakes and a nice fast pacing.
The episode had some really great fistpump moments like these too. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/COT-YY4W8AQlt-p.png https://pbs.twimg.com/media/COUA3oWWcAAKUh4.png |
Man, Chase got absolutely wrecked. Obviously, he was going to die, but I didn't expect that we'd actually see his number float up and explode and everything. I assume we haven't seen the last of him cause Movie Wars and all, but that was still a pretty powerful death scene. Loved the return of the Machine Chaser suit, too; I honestly didn't realize he could still do that (although it does make sense since it's not like that form was ever destroyed or anything).
Drive is really ramping up for its finale. I'm quite impressed with how serious and dramatic everything is getting, including the Power Rangers-esque base destruction. Things are looking bad, the villains and heroes are working together, and we've already lost two characters with Medic looking to be next up on the chopping block. I am so glad this show turned around and became something that could actually pull off good drama like this. |
Lots of triple rider kick action in this one. ^^ and like the people have said above me, that mac/cheese combination seems really last moment add on...I rather just have Mach wield the signal axe because the suit looks downgraded imo and... will Mach defeat Gold-Drive? I'm hoping Chase did some damage to open up a weak spot for Gou.

holy crap...ok, there is so much to like in this episode! Not one, but two fantastic triple Rider Kicks of course...but one thing that I felt has been lacking in a lot of the recent Kamen Rider series is the RIDER aspects! The vehicles really got some nice spots AND uses! Finally yeah..that ending...I did not expect the explosion, or the USE of the explosion! Then seeing those numbers, oh man right in the feels...
Drive paced itself perfectly, and yes, one has to suffer through those first episodes to really get the impact of the development of the show...because oh man it makes it worth while. Plus this is really getting a body count, up there with Ryuki. |

Wow, for a series that had such a drag for the first half, they really went all out on it for the second half. I love it. Not my ultimate favorite, that still falls currently to Gaim and OOO, but the feels out of this series has grown. Chase has been the biggest favorite of the series, and this episode proves why.
I also like that they picked up in a different spot than a continuation of the previous episode. It moved it forward in a way that kept the frenetic pace going. Looks like Sigma will be the ultimate big baddie. Although Banno needs a good spanking. I agree that Mach Chaser's form is just lame, I would have liked some additional colors as well, but beggars can't be chasers. I may have to wear black for next weeks episode. |

I was taking a detailed look at the fusion form and all it is really is Mach's helmet, chest armor, and upper arms on Chaser.

And my guess is it'll be as an Ultimate Evolution. Can Chase really be the only important Roimude without one? I guess he is a prototype, and his core did explode. But... didn't it do that in episode 22, and he turned out to be fine? I'm not convinced his in-series story is over. |

Not only that, in episode 35 Brain told Chase he still has a "purpose to fulfill" without ever explaining what that was. Did that ever amount to anything? I can't remember, but I don't think so. I have a feeling Chase still has a role left to play in all this.

This was a good episode, but not to be a hater, it did have some problems

Also, when Banno is swinging the axe, he's standing so far away from Gou that even if he hadn't been interrupted by Chase he would have barely hit his son. I mean, I know, I know. Chase had to have enough space to get in there. But it's still kinda silly. Just nitpicking though. That's just me though, can't speak for Johnk |
