Not toku but definitely a related and interesting topic. Something perfect for customizers. 2 different color varieties as well as male & female versions. All set as general retail releases in April 2016!

It definitely looks like that's what they're based on.

These would be amazing for customs if they weren't so expensive. Like seriously, they're literally entirely devoid of sculpted detail and paint, yet cost almost twice what a normal Figuart costs. Do the stands really bump up the cost that much?

Still kinda want a set, though.

Sweet! They just went from "Want to buy" to "SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY BANDAI" status!

The sheer amount of accessories on top of the stage more than make up for the price in my eyes. I mean there's 17 hands with the gray set. Thats unheard of. And those accessories while unpainted are fairly unique to these figures. It seems to be well worth the value, and as a retail release it will be 20-30% off with initial pre-orders pretty much every where.

I'm gonna see if I can nab a few of the deluxe and pale orange sets because I so wanna make some customs. I already got a Zen-Aku custom waiting in the wings so the gray or pale orange blanks would be perfect for him.

Especially since there's quite a few Sentai series that are incomplete Figuart-wise (Notably Kyoryuger/Dino Charge, Dekaranger/SPD, and Dairanger/MMPR S2), and series that never got Figuarts (Such as Ohranger/Zeo, Timeranger/Time Force, Kakuranger/Alien Rangers, Go-Onger/RPM, and Carranger/Turbo)

That'd make sense if these were normal Figuarts with these accesory counts and being bumped up. But the way I see it you're not paying for sculpt or paint anyway, so the accessories should fill in for that price, not add to it.

It's gouging.

I'd probably use them almost for that exclusive purpose. It's a bit easier to make a custom Sentai SHF than a Rider since they don't have as much armor or sculpting to them.

Honestly I'm with Den-O here. They not have any paint or sculpting, but if they are using the SS body (or at least one of the really stronger main ones) than that adds to the cost along with the heavy duty stand and barrel of accessories.

They might not have anything in the way of additional sculpting, but those bodies are a hell of a lot more defined than Sentai Figuarts are. Its definitely not a case of "no sculpt".

Only problem with using them for Sentai Figuarts is if you ever need to make a female ranger she'll be quite, um, well-endowed. (like seriously Bandai?)

But there's no finely sculpted details at all.

Also, the eight-handed versions are still 4320 yen, which is more than the Gaim Figuarts were despite having no paint, way less sculpt, no other accessories and barely anymore hands.

True that on the female blanks. If I got some of those to make a female ranger, I'd probably use a good chunk of clay & my dremel to sand down the breasts.

These took forever to get announced. :lol Glad to see that between the Figma ones and these, we have some choice. I'll be sure to get either of them.

phone, laptop, book, gun, katana, and a shitload of hands. That's quite the variety for accessory count haha. People have been asking for these for ages, all the new promo pictures for effect sets felt like such a tease.

Personally, while you can't really beat a real life model, these would come in handy for figure drawing.

Not my thing, but this is definitely great for those who like to make customs. I'm looking forward to seeing what people do with these.

The real obvious appeal of these would be to customizers, and to get as many in their hands as possible would make sense. To do that, they'd have to be reasonable affordable. And neither release is, at all. I doubt even many a casual fan would want one at that much.

They're sure neat and the gray ones certainly come with a hell of a lot, which is cool, but to me that doesn't seem like justification enough for the high price.

I know fully well I'm not the intended audience for them though.

We're literally getting blank Figuarts bodies before Kiva. This is a thing that's happening.


What's next? SHFiguarts of SHFiguarts packaging before Kiva?

Figuarts of Figuarts. Figuarts the size of normal figuarts relative in size to actual figuarts to us. For example: Kabuto figuart would be holding a Kabuto Figuart Figuart.

What if we got one of those for Kiva but not Kiva's actual figuart?

But anyway, yeah, literally everything before Kiva I suppose. We even got a useless slab of vending machine before Kiva. Not even the actual Ridevendor, just a block of plastic. Never forget. In comparison, blank figuarts seem pretty cool.

They're doing this on purpose. I know it. They're teasing us with dumb SHF ideas. I wouldn't be surprised if the SHF of the SHF box comes out before Kiva.

That's cool! I'll get the "pale orange" versions but I wish they came with the extra stuff. I don't really want the grey ones.

All the Kiva bitching is getting pretty old guys. People have demanded these blanks for years. Kiva will happen when he happens. Seriously Tamashii Nations takes place ON Halloween this year. A Kiva reveal this year would make more sense than anything else. But even if it doesn't happen then? Chill out. It will. These blanks are NOT lessening the chances of Kiva people.
