How many is too many?
 

Hello! I've been thinking about this for quite a while now. Recently finishing Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger I was amazed by the amount of members that consisted in this season. While I love this large roster it made me question, Just how many rangers is to much?

Now I think 10 is already quite a large team. But would any more just be obnoxious? Anyway I'm quite new around here so I apoligize if this quite quite long and not immediately to the point.

Personally I think keeping it at 6 is best.

But 7 at most is as far as I think they should go.

I think Kyoryuger had too many. Cyan and Grey were footnotes, Violet 1 was only notable due to how eccentric he was, while Violet 2 wasn't anything special at all, most people only noticing her due to her eye candy appeal, and Silver appeared too far at the end to really hold an impact, feeling more like an addition just to needlessly pad out the numbers.
Navy is just a slap to the face.

6 is a fine number, especially considering that most teams can't even flesh out the main cast as is.

Yeah I can I go about 6, but I would do 7 just for the shear variety. Also I do enjoy the menacing look that's given with more members.

Yeah kyoryugers did have quite the amount. But I think thats what kind of drew me in. I only really enjoyed its numbers just for fearsome wall the kyoryugers created, and for the variety. Other than that though I do agree with you.

6-7 feels right.

One thing that bothers me about Kyoryuger is why do they have to have a silver ranger and a grey ranger on the same team? I haven't seen it and it may pertain to the plot, but really? You could've used an orange or another color ranger instead.

I think 7-8 rangers is enough.

I think 10 is the limit. I enjoyed the variety of rangers in Kyoryuger, but I think anymore is too much.

7-8 is really the maximum for me.

Personally I think 6-8 would be a good number. Why? Because an even number of rangers can mean an even/equal number of the genders. But I know this'll never happen.

That's a good way of looking at it actually. But yes, sadly it does feel like wishful thinking.

Thanks ZRV. I've always been one to try and have the genders on equal terms and even numbers on a team. Just seems right.

6 or 7 Sentai Rangers is enough for me

According to Go-Onger where two "Sixth Rangers" were added to the core Super Sentai team. There should be another word for two additional rangers rather calling them "Two Sixth Sentai Rangers". Has anybody come up with a word for it?

"Extra Ranger"

I enjoyed the multitude of rangers in kyoryuger, especially the "spirit ranger" aspect of it. It would be cool to have even more rangers than what they had, but only in cameo and special roles. Above that, a core team of 5-7 would be awesome, with maybe 2-3 extra rangers that are usually around.

It also all depends on the storytellers, if they can juggle the character development like Go-Onger did, it would work.

Did GoBusters do a good job of fleshing out Characters with only 5 rangers? I never say the show.
