With no powers to save him this time, Takeru faces his darkest hour. What will it take to pull out a victory?

Takeru killed in this episode but Takeru come back because friendship bonds effects from his friends and finally, Takeru can become Ghost Mugen Damashii. Ghost Mugen Damashii easly to eliminate Ganmaizer Fire and Ganmaizer Gravity (Ganmaizer Gravity in human form and orb form but I hope in the future episodes, he will uses his monster form).

Next episode: Takeru meet Grimm Brothers, Ganmaizer Liquid's debut, and full appearance of Ghost Mugen Damashii.

Overall cool episode...

Wow the battle begun at the started of the episode.

Takeru lost all of his Ghost eyecons to the Ganmaizer Monster.

This episode had all the feels when Takeru died sad moment.

All of his friends work together to bring him back and it work.

Mugen had a duel sword weapon and destroyed both Ganmaizer Monsters and got back all of his eyecons.

Hell even the Saga freak out when he saw Takeru come back to life again. His reaction was so funny he snap his back lol.

There are still two questions I have now first what was that woman voice from the last episode. Second does the days reaming still count or it disappear because of Mugen?

Next week Mugen Damashii Hype.

So...Takeru turned the Ganmaizers into tablets before destroying them this time. Does this mean they're gone for good? So we're never gonna see Ganmaizer Gravity's true form...? Man, who am I even kidding. We were never gonna see it anyway.

Then again, no Gravity is a small price to pay to finally be rid of Fire. Fire can go fuck itself. Screw Ganmazier Fire and screw the Ghost crew for overusing it so much that I grew to hate a perfectly fine design. Ugh.

I am sorry Ghost, I really try very hard to like you. Some episodes are great and some are not.

But the way you just handed Takeru his new Eyecon is cringingly painful. I know that MUGEN references the Buddhist state of nirvana but the way Takeru obtains the Mugen Eyecon is the opposite of nirvana. You should have at least given some explanation beyond him saying that he can hear everyone's feelings.

Which reminds me, Tenkuuji Ryu was found in a mountain filled with spider lilies. Same as Takeru's first death. Then why is his third death different? At least get your portrayal of the afterlife consistent.

And your cast has become to bloated. Onari basically screams his head off on a weekly basis, Kanon is just window dressing and Narita is a human prop. At least Shibuya got some depth. By now, I just watch this show for Makoto and Alain's overall awesomeness.

So they did " the hero dies to receive his final form" story again. It's both lazy and stupid, because Takeru was already dead to begin with and not mention the fact they already did this plotline for Boost. It goes back to what I was complaining about the writers selectively forgetting that Takeru is supposed to be a ghost.

Did the Ore Eyecon evolve into the Mugen Eyecon or did Mugen just appear out of thin air?

Yeah, I thought Fourze & Drive did the whole death and revival to get the final form better. For one at least the death and revival part wasn't crammed into one episode. Plus you get a better sense of doom as well.

Not sure how officially confirmed this was, but it has been brought up that the reason Takeru has died and come back three times directly relates to the practices of Buddhism.

In fact, there are so many references to the culture that this show should just be called "Kamen Rider Buddha" instead of Ghost. At least then, those who were expecting the show to be "spooky" would have one less thing to be dissapointed by. :lol

Wow! I'm surprised they didn't killed off Takeru in last episode! At least it's avoided of becoming Fourze 3.0 death or Drive 2.0 death! Ha ha

They already killed off Takeru in the pilot episode. Why would they do it twice? :lol

It's funny that you bring up Buddhist influences in this show, because I remember somebody on a different forum bringing up the fact that Mugen could also represent(sort of) the state of Nirvana in Buddhism.

Edit:My problem with writers forgetting about Takeru's ghost state is that I keep asking myself "Why is Takeru still a ghost?" because he really didn't really need to be a ghost after he was revived the second (first?) time.

Takeru's memory powers and his mission to connect the Heroic Eyecons could've been done without him being a ghost, because if Takeru needed to be a ghost for both of those things to happen then Ryu and Sennin's plan basically hinged on Takeru being killed, which does present an interesting storyline if that was the case.

Takeru's memory abilities are not good justification for him remaining a ghost, because it is touch-based for the most part.

Connecting the Heroic Eyecons could work as a justification for his ghost state what with him entering the eyecons to talk to them, but as shown with Ryoma, Himiko, Goemon, and Houdini they could've just had the Heroic Eyecons posses a random passerby to communicate with him.

Basically, it seems like he's still a ghost because "he is Kamen Rider Ghost" and that's it which would be fine if Makoto couldn't transform anymore after gaining his body back, because it would give a reason for why Takeru still needs to be a ghost.

God damn! this episode was insanely fantastic! I actually don't mind if this becomes another trope for Kamen Rider with the main rider dying to get the ultimate form because I think it brings out the best in the supporting cast. Everyone was so freaking great here about their feelings for Takeru. Akari stood out the most to me because she was so determined to fight and do whatever she could to help. Also Makoto and Alain were both brilliant if fighting and wanting to protect the world even if they didn't have Takeru. Takeru I loved the beginning of the Mugen Damashii it was so shiny and awesome I can't wait to see it physically. I love how their feelings brought him back I thought that was a good way to do it but damn Takeru is taking the lead or fighting for the lead here for Kamen Rider who has died the most times lol. Still great episode and I am intrigued with the Ganmaizers and what more they bring to against Team Ghost.

I mean, I can at least remember once when he tried to use his spoopy ghost abilities after he got resurrected by his father. You know, in the little Houdini story where he possesses that girl. But I do get what you're saying. I does seem like they've forgot about the entire ghost thing at this point. It started out with him using his ghost powers a lot and then it showed up just enough to remind you they were there. Hopefully the Mugen Damashii form's infinity motif will also take away the countdown of how many days he has left, unless they have something really good in store when it reaches 0 this time.

I don't usually comment on these episode discussions because I'm so bored of Ghost at this stage I don't honestly feel I could offer much to the discussion, but having noticed I'm the first person to give this episode a "poor" I just wanted to chime in so I wasn't hating and running so to speak.

Considering this episode is arguably supposed to be one of the emotional high points of the series, the fact I felt absolutely nothing says it all for me. It already had the handicap of reusing the incredibly tired trope of having the lead character die and come back with his final form, but even if I were to disregard that the characters don't sell it for me. Alain and Akari (and Yurusen) are the only ones I care about at this stage, Takeru and Makoto are dull as bricks and the rest of the cast just feel like window dressing.

I'm just, not feeling this show at all really any more. Which is a shame because I always try to find some positives even the shows I really dislike.

I feel the same; this episode did nothing for me. Takeru coming back from the dead for the third time is just boring, and it doesn't help that he and the majority of the supporting cast are completely bland and started to get insufferable really fast.

Makoto had his time; now he's a cardboard cutout again, Alain had some cool episodes but I doubt that they'll do anything major with him ever again.

Ghost continues to be among the weakest post-Decade shows, and I haven’t watched Wizard again (and I never will) but for all I care Ghost sits on the same level of awfulness as that show.

I’ll be happy when this show is over. Sad but true.

This episode was legitimately insulting. Our hero is dead, again, so to set the mood, let's watch Onari scream like an idiot, again. Fun. "Scream like an idiot" has lost its meaning, but it's never been more appropriate than here.
Everyone's acting after Takeru died until he was revived was fucking insufferable, except maybe Akari, whose acting was pretty normal for Ghost, which is honestly subpar. Something which I'd normally ignore or put up with just because it's Kamen Rider, but this is seriously just pitiful and insulting.

"I want to like Ghost but I just can't" is a sentiment that I've seen far too many times and I agree with wholeheartedly. The only saving grace is the fact that it's Kamen Rider and has a neat gimmick, which is the only reason I'll finish the show besides the fact that I've bothered to go this far.
Fingers crossed into a pretzel that the next show is at least decent. I'm going to be really sad when Amazons ends.

I wasn't a big fan of Kamen Rider Drive but ended up loving it by the end. It wasn't like it was bad at all, but the plot got so good starting from his final form debut that it instantly got me hooked, even more than Gaim ever did probably. And since the first half was, in hindsight, still really solid it ended up being a good show overall.

As for Ghost... I really liked it. While everyone had major problems with the series, I thoroughly enjoyed it episode-to-episode. But unfortunately, it looks like the series is going the opposite way Drive did. The last few episodes have been fairly bad with inconsistent pacing and terrible sideplots that seem to overshadow the big (and interesting) revelations.

This episode was... I dunno man, the fact that they attempted to do this kind of story in one episode was either really impressive, or really misguided. It felt rushed to all hell, it was disproportionately epic and while having good moments for most of the supporting cast, had some real problems trying to make all their efforts feasible. Not to mention some of the terrible dialogue.

I did like the way they hid Mugen form. That was a great idea for a final form debut. They didn't blow their load right away and kept enough of it a mystery that I'm intrigued to see its proper debut next week.

Regardless, what happened to Ghost? Hell, what happened to Fukuda? He hasn't written an episode since Deep Spectre's debut. Did he quit/leave/get fired? Its like there was an abrupt staff change and Hasegawa and Mouri are having to make content on the fly with no revisions, resulting in these rushed "first-draft"-like episodes. Like, they just remembered Ghost Grateful's weakness. Is that a result of bad writing or an oversight on the part of the writing team?

Who knows? Maybe all these episodes are teasing something amazing and we'll look back on them as necessary and interesting components to a mixed show. I really hope so. Right now its going from a good show to a bad one real fast.

FYI I loved the Alain Takoyaki arc but I still saw some huge pacing issues, especially with the second part. Shibuya's story was when it really got iffy. I loved pretty much everything up to Deep Spectre's debut.

I do not care if they are trying to do what ever that Buddhist that people have mention in this forum. This episode was crap, I laughed at Takeru's death. Episode was rushed, and made me care very little. Who was the dumbass that decided to do all of this in one episode? Here is an idea for what they could of done to introduce Mugen. Make it a three part episode, Takeru dies and has to go on some spiritual journey. This way there is time to help show character and be different from Fourze and Drive. I just thought of that too while I was typing this.

The only great thing about this episode was that it make the Amazons episode that I watched right afterwards sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much better. I mean at least in that episode I cared more about the characters.

I liked some of the ideas they were going for here, but the execution didn't do much for me. The whole thing with Takeru's resurrection (although I assume he's still dead) was really rushed and everything about it was dripping with cheese. I've pretty much given up on Ghost ever getting good at this point, even if I do plan to stick around for the rest. Hopefully it passes quickly.

As someone who's liked Ghost, and was hoping this would be really good... it wasn't. The episode felt rushed, especially compared to the same scenarios from Drive, Den-O and, from what I've heard, Fourze. Maybe if they'd made it a 2 parter, put more emotional weight behind it, it could have worked. That would also have dealt with the other issue:

Mugen Damashii comes out of literally nowhere. He comes back to life, because something something memories (Den-O logic basically), and that suddenly gives him a new super mode that lets him destroy the Ganmaizer's permanently. I hope this is going to get explained next episode, but I doubt it. Explaining things is not one of this show's strong points.

But the rest of the cast were the good points. The group continuing to fight, still coming up with a plan to win (even if it didn't work) was pretty good, and Makoto and Alain should have taken over as main riders, even if it was only for an episode.

You know what I'm still confused with, why hasn't Takeru's Dad shown up as a manifested Ghost Parka yet? The Boost Eyecon is essentially Ryu Tenkuji so why hasn't he shown up yet to give guidance especially with the Ganmaizer running around.

You know what I would have done, split this episode into two, explain that Takeru is stuck in a limbo world since his Eyecon was broken prematurely and that it didn't fade naturally. Leave Boost out of the Eyecon's that got stolen or have it taken back. Have Ryu manifest as a physical ghost parka. Have him and Gramps inform them about Takeru's situation and come up with a plan to save him. Use that whole Necrom Gate+Outside Source to make a gateway to said limbo.

Next step, have Ryu and Gramps teach Akari how to make Eyecon's and have them make two. The first one be a stabilizer for Takeru by using his friends memories of him. The second one is so that he has a new place to put his spirit into. Cut to the next day and have Makoto stall the Ganmaizers while they get the gate working, then have Alain tag in and Makoto go with Akari to rescue Takeru. Plan is successful but as a side effect the stabilizer Eyecon transforms itself into Mugen, and then we get our little Mugen tease.

Admittedly this doesn't fix everything... but I think it would have made better context as a rescue mission than a, "Let's revive him through a miracle!" thing they were trying to do.

Sounds a whole lot better then what they did, though I doubt Sage would appear unless is was absolutely dire because Alain and Makoto know him from the Ganma World.

I thought for a minute it was gonna be a 2-part episode, if Takeru had a mom due to that echo last episode.
