... I don't care if it's a repaint, it's a glorious repaint. |
The action in this episode looks very cool...
The Ganmaizer Wind looks more powerful than previous Ganmaizer.... Hm...Alain's training looks funny Hmm..the best part in this episodes is evil version of Makoto and he can transform into Specter too :D https://scontent-sin.xx.fbcdn.net/v/...f3&oe=57E25D9A I think the new Gan Gun Hand for Necrom is from Sanzo..... |
Funny I miss this ep and did not know it was airing today cause I knew Zyuohger was not on.
I don't feel like I miss anything from this ep. |
So this episode was interesting, honestly surprised that Takeru wasn't able to one-shot the Ganmaizer this time, which is a pleasant surprise. Also nice to see that they are addressing that Alain has kind of just stagnated in terms of power especially since he's human now.
Also can I just say how happy I were to see Sanzo's familiar's again? I thought they would just be one and done things, a finisher we'd only see once but nope. Poor Alain though, you shouldn't get between a man and his Takoyaki. Also oh my goodness we actually get to see Ryoma Damashii again! This is great since he was one of the least used Damashii... I still don't get what Ryoma's powers are though. Is he like a balanced form or what? What special abilities does he even have? |
I wasn't invested in the idol program so much as I was in Necrom's training session with the monkey (Sun Wukong), the pig (Zhu Bajie) and the Kappa (Sha Wujing). But then again, Necrom has consistently been the best Kamen Rider on this show in my opinion. Which is why I am glad he is getting a repainted Gan Gan Hand.
If one thing I really liked this episode, it was the action. In fact, Specter had the better scenes, pulling of a flawless Omega Spark and Omega Fang. As for Takeru, once he busted out the Mugen Eyecon against Perfect Hikoki Ganma, things were pretty much over. Mugen needs more competition or needs to be toned down. Quote:

Anyway, considering this Wind Ganmaiser didn't go down with Joyful Stream, I'm assuming their going to be more resistant to Mugen's attacks. |

Eggh, this episode felt like boring filler.
"Oh, no, Igor is planning some random crap with Deep Connect again!" "Oh, no, poor victim of the week!" Plus an excuse for Akari and Onari shenanigans. The only interesting things, Makoto's clone and Alain's training, didn't really feature in this episode much and didn't accomplish anything in this episode, something that could have been done if they didn't put a plot of the week in here. |
I just hope Deep Connect will be free of Igor's control.
|
I liked this episode. It reminded me of the earlier episodes, with the various paranormal investigations. Also, poor Alain...all he wants is takoyaki.
|
This was definitely one of Ghost's better episodes. I can't wait to see more of Alain's training with Sanzo.

This episode was both interesting and a blast. It's nice to start to a new arc introducing the new Ganmaizer in the beginning. I like that we are starting this Necrom feeling obsolete arc with the other two having their higher power ups right now. What I liked about this episode was that everyone basically had their own story but it was connected the grander story: Makoto has his doppelganger, Alain has finding his spirit again, Akari and Onari are trying to infiltrate the Idol group to get information on what Igor is planning, and Takeru is helping the telepathic girl. Why does Kamen Rider tell better stories with multiple characters than Sentai does? Anyways really enjoyable action scenes especially with seeing Ghost and Spectre's original forms again. I loved Ghost's waiting to punch the Ganma and then punches him was great. I love Mugen Damashii it's awesome. Anyways I like the use of Sanzou helping Alain find himself again because it's great to see the Eyecons help more than just Takeru. I also am wondering about this Dark Makoto but Spectre vs Spectre sounds awesome. Adel questioning the Ganmaizers is interesting, nice to see that he is questioning this grand power he got and not just blindly relying on it. Also that he has back up options is intriguing too. I can't wait for the next episode, love this show.

Me throughout this episode: How many Wizard references can I make?
The answer: Many. Not all of them directly related to the episode, but many. |
I hope that doppelganger of Makoto doesn't replace the real one to infiltrate the team. It'd be bad news! Makoto suffered enough!

Yeah, pretty much hated this episode.
I don't like idol episodes, in general. I think Ginga S pulled off a pretty decent one, but it was also tied into a returning character from Ginga and a ton of fun Zubat references. This one was just annoying and overly familiar. If I'm being honest, I actually got to the point where I just fastforwarded through all the Onari/Akari bits. Not that the rest of the episode was much better, but the minute I saw Onari wearing a giant afro I knew that this was going to be a waste of my time and patience. So there are two Makotos now, because reasons. Maybe the second one will have a personality, but I doubt it. Also, Alain is undergoing training with a whole bunch of wacky sound effects and, naturally, more takoyaki stuff. I'm inclined to wonder if the writers have forgotten that Alain has other personality traits that aren't centered around octopus dumplings. It's a pity, as he was actually the show's only interesting character for awhile. At this point I'm just actively counting down the weeks until this shit is over. I don't know what Ex-Aid is going to be like, but it has to be better than this. I don't throw this concept around lightly, but I'm actually beginning to feel that Ghost might be even worse than Kiva. |

I just think it's funny that Ghost's reception is so drastically varied. Personally I'm enjoying myself, especially for the last three episodes or so; they've been really fun. Although, if you hate the show show much Switch, I'm beginning to wonder why you put the effort into these sprawling paragraphs almost every week. I get the "I'm too far in to stop now" mentality and you're entitled to endure whatever you want, but by now we all KNOW you hate the show and we all know WHY you hate the show. Your comments are becoming sort of predictable, so why even bother reminding us episode after episode? |
That's a fair question. I 'd say it's a mix of completionism and morbid curiosity. If you're tired of my thoughts, though, you're always free to not read them.
