The Showa lineup will soon be complete.
Kamen Rider J - Tamashii web exclusive, 5940 yen
Jungraider - Mass release, 5184 yen

Both are due for release January 2017.

Seems like I can spend my money on other stuff in January, nothing from Tamashii Bandai I want so far.

Hell yes J!!! Finally the trinity of Showa Movie Riders will be complete. I've waited a long time for this. Jungraider is also great to see coming out that month. I figured if we were getting Alpha & Omega then it couldn't be far behind. Here's hoping for Sigma!

FYI to anyone interested in Jungraider. If you haven't already realized it, the bike used on the showed is based on Gills' Gills Raider from Agito. The Figuart shares that same distinction. It's a straight repaint with some remolding but it's definitely the Gills Raider under there.

Wow, pretty much $60 for J? Is he supposed to be taller than the other riders or something?

No? Where are you getting that from? He's a normal sized figuart with accessories. He's pretty well in line with recent web exclusive pricing. I mean, ZO was 4536 at retail, J is marginally more expensive. He's just got the usual web exclusive price bump.

I will get J! I enjoyed the Showa Movie Trio.

J? I still need to pick up ZO.
Edit: Oh, and it looks like he comes with his bug friend. Cool.

Yay we finally are getting J. But wow, that's quite a bit for him. I might just wait for him to pop up on Mandarake.

Finally. Now the Showas can hit the renewal phase of things and we can start replacing the weaker releases.

We already got renewals of Black and Black RX not too while ago. I'm not sure we are ready for renewals for the Showa Riders pre-Black yet? I feel like S.H Figuarts Ichigo, Nigo, V3 and Riderman are still nice figures today. ZX did suck, but I hope they can fix the gummy hands if they ever did a reissue with him and his bike in the near future.

ZX is the pinacle of poor QC & design. He deserves a Seihou release more than just about any other figuart. He's a total disaster. But it's true that earlier Showa Riders really just don't hold up nowadays. Looking at my various Ichigos and Nigos they just look inferior compared to the build quality of later Showa releases like the Black/RX Renewals, Shin, ZO, J, even Amazon & Stronger hold up pretty well. But Ichigo, Nigo, & V3 in particular lack some definition and personality that newer figuarts seem to have.

I'd just like a less nightmarish method of changing out Super-1's Five Hands.

Anyway, now that the Showa Riders are complete... can we get back to Sentai please? ;P

ZX is hands down the worst Kamen Rider Figuart I have ever bought. In fact, I'm currently deciding if I really need to own the riders I don't care for, and he will be the first to go if I decide the answer to that is no.

That's a 1500Y increase though. J is not worth anywhere near that price IMO.

I actually never realized before that the Jungraider was a repainted bike. That's kind of next actually; looked perfect for its role in Amazons.

That J hand is so delightful. I was happy to see J show up at that earlier show/display thing, and happy that the preorder's coming up.

As for other Showa(-related) Riders and renewals, the only ones that I really want to see are renewal Next/First versions, since I prefer those designs anyways, and it's been a loooong time since their release.

As for ZX, I wouldn't turn my nose at a SS renewal at all since the original was unfortunate, but honestly if they took the original and fixed it (changed the scarf so it wouldn't stress trying to pop the stupid thing in...and what was the other thing, his hands and not holding the weapons well?) I'd settle for that. The scarf is the main thing I remember.

He has incredibly loose floppy hips. Some of them literally just fall off at the hip joint. The 3 pieces on his belt tend to just fall off. He does have trouble holding stuff but his hands are also very badly painted. Then there's the scarf stress/breakage issue. On top of that he's jut weirdly proportioned. Would love to have a better ZX.

Ah, thanks, forgot about the hips. I've had mine held up by a Tamashii stage since I got it, so I forgot in all that time mine were loose too (though mine were never "fall off the joint" bad, thankfully).

I found a picture of Amazon Omega with his sickle and whip, but I can't translate the text so I don’t know if they include them with the figure or the bike. I suspect it’s the latter.

Yeah, it looks like they come with the bike.

A little lame that they're not included with the figure itself, I guess, but I kinda wanted the bike anyway so if I can get it the extra accessories are good.

He my favorite showa rider but after I heard about all the mess up things with this figuart I held off on buying him.

I hope Bandai release him with his bike that we saw at Tamashii Nations in 2013 and they fix all the things that's wrong with him.
