Jason David Frank To Return For 20th Anniversary?
1 Attachment(s)
In a recent interview with GeekCast Radio, veteran Power Ranger actor Jason David Frank has dropped hints that he may return for the franchise's 20th anniversary.
During the interview JDF, who played Tommy Oliver on Mighty Morphin Power Rangers through to Turbo and then returned for Dino Thunder, said the following; "Probably, because that's probably what Saban's talking with my agent about tomorrow. I don't really have any clue what they're talking about, but they did mention some 20 year anniversary thing." "If Saban ever wanted me to do something, I would do it. I just want everyone to know that if you hear any rumors about Jason Frank not doing the 20 year anniversary for any other reason, I will tell everybody right now that I do things for fun. I would do it for all of my fans and I would do it for a dollar. If it doesn't happen, it has nothing to do with me, it has nothing to do with money, it has to do with Saban. If the fans wanted to see me, it has nothing to do with money. It has to do with doing stuff for you guys." You can check out the full interview here and discuss this news after the jump! Wow thats amazing! Spoken like a true ranger. That picture with the helmet is awesome! He short though.
Saban? I know I once said if you don't direct translate Goseiger I'd be angry. I take it all back, I promise. Somehow, someway, make this man Gosei Knight.
Now bring in Adam and redeem Justin, and I'll be happy. :D
sweet!
I'm happy he might come back, but just how on earth will they work him in? He's been in more seasons than the other actors so finding a tribute episode for him's going to be tough.
o my god.... he'll be gokai silver!
He's awesome.
I enjoy how he can be a tattoo'd up MMA fighter but still completely willing to return to a kids show just because the fans want him to :D |
...Again?
Look, I don't mind Tommy making another cameo in another Power Rangers season, but I was really hoping for Austin St. John to return as Jason, at least doing voiceover in the Mighty Morphin' suit. |
Like we didn't see this coming from a mile away.
YES!
i still stand by my idea that tommy will be like akared and have the powers of all the previous red rangers
Hell yeah JDF!
Hope he returns
JDF is the Kenji Ohba of Power Rangers :D Imagine all the Tommy Oliver are from alternate realities
He will fit the second part of Mega Force very well
Wow that's interesting considering fans on Rangercrew keep insisting at a con he admitted to turning down the role of Deker because he wanted more money.
let saban choose past rangers for season 2 of pr megaforce

I think at least as far as the Legend War goes they should have at least one of EVERY Ranger team show up. Honestly, Saban acts like Tommy's the only one to ever wear the suit!
My list of Rangers I'd rather see before Tommy again: 1. Hunter-Ninja Storm 2. Jason-MMPR,Zeo 3. Shane-Ninja Storm 4.Trent-Dino Thunder 5 Eric-Time Force 6. Mike-Lost Galaxy I could go on, but why? My point is there are other great Rangers besides Tommy. It really is great that JDF is willing to come back whenever they want him to, but it would be nice if others got a shot as well. Especially with the "199 Ranger" Mega battle in Gokaiger (I think)....... |
Tommy aka Jason David Frank is the face of this franchise, love him or hate him. It'll be good to have him back.

I don't hate Tommy, I just wish other Rangers were given a chance.
i want to see the original team, but i guess its impossible. r.i.p.
Out of the five remaining original cast members I think JDF is probably the most likely to come back.
Amy Jo Johnson has been trying to distance herself from her past as a Power Ranger and David Yost has been vocal about what he felt was discrimination during his time in PR, so those two would probably not come back. The last I've heard of Austin St. John was that he gained a lot of weight. They may ask him to lose some weight before coming back. And I don't know what Walter Jones is up to now. And of course Thuy Trang has passed away. But it would have been really nice to see the original six for the anniversary.http://64.19.142.13/1.bp.blogspot.co...inal-group.jpg |
