Fourze Episode 43-"Gem-Ini Light/Shade" discussion
 

We all know Yuki as Gen's quirky friend who is known for being rather fond of space and having a bit of conflict with Miu. But could this be our Yuki? Angry, argumentative with authorities and willing to perform defenestration on Miu?(In laymen terms, it means trying to kill someone by chucking them out a window) Can Fourze and Meteror fight their friend or is there more going on than we realise?

Beat me to it a little early this week man :lol

I have an excuse for not posting this week- I'm in Vegas lol. But how will this episode play out?

My guess is there's going to be a LOT of drama, regardless if Yuki's really Gemini or not.

The Gemini design look better than what little we saw in the Horoscope preview and when Gemini gets a Figuart it might also count as a Yuki one too.

I may have to get the Gemini Figuarts (if and when they make it) just because that's my sign. But at this point I'm not in love with the design.

Didn't Yuuki's conflict with Miu end when Miu went to college and named Yuuki as President?

Wow, that's a heavy fact: Yuki was forced to press the switch and that created her doppelgänger/Gemini Zodiarts. And now Yuki may disappear if they can't figure out a way to defeat it...damn, this story is getting serious! I just gotta say that Gemini is too hilarious and it's voice is too adorable for that design.

Yuki, you dip. The one thing Emoto wanted you do before he died was stop the Horoscopes from gaining the last two members and what do you do? You get tricked into making a evil clone that's also Gemini and on top of that, you may fade away if it's not destoyed in time

It's really getting dramatic now. The preview for the next episode is kind of creepy with DAT BLANK WHITE MASK. I'll be seeing that in my nightmares.

It makes sense that Yuki is in a sense a Horoscope. Her namesake Riderman was part of the villain group that Kamen Rider V3 fought up until they betrayed him. In a weird sort of way tradition's being kept alive.

But I wouldn't want to be Yuki right now. Her life's a mess, she may fade away and since Dark Yuki harmed Miu,The KRC thinks she's flipped.. The Horoscopes are some evil dudes.

I cried myself to sleep watching that white mask face. CREEPY.

I know. It creeps me out too. Gemini's got creepy down pat.

I think Gemini is adorable XD. Well, in mannerisms, appearance it's creepy, but the voice cancels it out

Looking forward to watching this episode tonight when I get off work.

Why didn't they go get the Sugiura group already ?

That was a good episode, I was a bit worried about if Gemini would feel repetitive since we had something similar with Cygnus, but this twist on the dual personality was a good one. Next week's preview is looking quite good, and I want to know more about this voice from space.

They don't have access to the MBUS. They can hop to the moon and back, but the MBUS is a satellite. They'd need some form of shuttle or something to get there and back with everyone in tow.

As for the episode, it was nice. I especially liked Leo and Libra forcing Yuuki to hit the switch. However, this raises my one issue.
What if Yuuki was Pisces? What if the switch she got actually transformed her, rather than making an evil clone? There was a lot we could have explored with Yuuki if she actually became the Zodiart, but instead we got evil clone, so it's completely okay to kill it. The episode was good, but we really missed a big opportunity for some character growth with Yuuki.

I'm just more curious what happens when all the switches are gathered now. Will all 12 Apostles reform minus their hosts? Will Fourze and Meteor have to fight all 12 on their own?

Well, there's a problem with your idea of Yuuki being Pisces- Gamou had Libra double check her, and he saw the potential of her becoming Gemini only. And it's not an evil clone, it's all of her negative emotions and parts that was given its own body.

That's not the point lol.
The point was: What if Yuuki was literally any other Zodiart. What if Libra looked and saw the Pisces constellation? Basically, what if Yuuki herself transformed into the monster?
Instead, we got her thrown into a wall, forced to press a switch, and because she happened to be Gemini, the Yuuki we know got to walk off and evil twin is the Zodiart.
The episode is nice and the story is fine, but they seriously wasted a lot of potential in the "KRC member is a Zodiart" concept by having the "Negative emotions" become the zodiart, and not the actual member.

Well, we still have Pisces left. Anybody know if any of the other KRC members could fit Pisces?

What would be an amazing twist in my opinion is if next episode that Gamou points out who in the KRC can become Pisces, and the only way he'll let Yuuki live is if that person allows themselves to be Pisces. But hey, that's just my idea.

Out of all the member Tomoko seems the lost likely to be Pisces. When you think about it, she does have grace, is fond of things that are hidden from people normally I.E Kamen Riders, somewhat shy, and possesses a curiously mystical side to her. Also she feels that Yuki is a kindred spirit and if it meant saving her means being a Horoscope then she'd do it.

Finally got to sit down and watch this one. I gotta say that I hate Gemini. The story behind it is great but that annoying voice and character just kill me. I'm glad it's not technically Yuki that's going crazy and evil but at the same time it seems like a cop out to make one of the KRC members a Horoscope only for it to be their "dark half".

Am I the only one who's getting major flashbacks to Persona 3 and 4 from this episode?

So Yuuki is kind of a bitch.

The only thing that's sorta a shame is that we know how this arc's gonna resolve itself, given Yuuki's in the movie.

Unless they pull a fast one on us and have it so that they need to redeem her as one of the endgame goals for the series.

The biggest twist I can think of is that the copy does stay and Yuuki vanishes.
But even then, Fourze and Meteor would take out Gemini a few episodes later and Yuuki would return, a-ok.

That's what I was thinking too. Yuki's darker emotions do hint she may have deeper issues that we first thought.I wonder if that's changed anyone's opinions of the character as we've seen what Dark Yuki is capable of.

Personally I don't think Gemini's making it past 44 myself, but I do wonder if it'll be brought up that she's is technically a Horoscope again during the last five episodes. I.E when the endgame comes up all former members are forcibly turned into their monster forms.

@GeneralTekno,Matrixbeast: That might happen too. The little we saw of her during the promos for Everyone, Space is her showed her looking not as chipper.

Except that Dark Yuuki is pretty darn chipper. She's just evil and chipper.

Unless both halves end up surviving after all.... the evil half seems to have taken the "chipper" aspects, it seems.

Or maybe the prospect of seriously being hurt and possibly vanishing has actually caused her to take concern that fighting Zodiarts isn't fun, and she'll grow up some.

I did love the Gambit like powers of Gemini...I almost wish they had brought her out earlier and extended her tenure like Cancer...

I love the powers and the general concept of gemini, my problem with it is that it was Yuki. Taking an already wildly annoying character and splitting them into 2 annoying characters grates on me. If it had been someone who was more solid like Kengo then I think this would have been great.

And not visiting DoctorMaki!?

I'm willing to bet the hoopla regarding Gen's promise to Yuki is going to either be resolved during the next episode or around the end of the series. I'm curious as too what it is she made him promise to remember that's so darn important.

@Den-O: Now that you mention it, Gemini has a lot in common with Gambit. The only thing missing is the bo staff.

Somewhat off topic, but is anyone else looking forward to learning just who will be Pisces? From what little of the design I've seen online looks to be quite cool looking.

Gamou seemingly falling in love with her and her fawning over him is hilarious.

I put off watching this for awhile but finally got around to it last night.

Still hate Yuuki.

Kinda hate her whole family, too.

I don't hate her in general but this episode definitely made me hate her.

Finally got around to watching it today. Gemini is a cackling lunatic...I like this.

Yuuki's family is ridiculous though.
