New Megazord for Power Rangers Ninja Steel toyline
http://i.imgur.com/3gFWAXs.jpg
http://i.imgur.com/JGb9W4N.jpg http://i.imgur.com/OvyWQLq.jpg http://i.imgur.com/IFF2tzn.jpg The "Rumble Tusk Megazord" everyone. Now to wonder, will this be just a one off or will all the OtomoNin be getting their own Megazords? |
Okaaaaay :/
Weird. It doesn't look like that body comes apart either, which makes this whole release a bit excessive for a little auxiliary zord. I hope for the sake of those planning to buy these that it's released on its own as well. |

I expected worse.
It helps that Sentai Mecha these days are just so basic and terrible BOA can't really make them all that worse. |
That's definitely a different and unexpected way to release the additional zords. Seems like an expansion on their recent interest in repaints. While I doubt they will, I do kinda hope the additional zords are also released on their own. Would suck to have to buy several repaints of the main megazord to be able to get all the on-screen zords.

Am I the only one that noticed that none of the images show the elephant zord in elephant mode?
|
I was thinking i was going to hate this toy line. But i like what i see.
|
If BoA is really going to do a Megazord for each of the Ninninger addons (elephant, dinosaur, UFO and surfer) then I can see this getting overly pricey really fast.
|
Anyone else think they should have just trashed Ninningers Zord designs and just done their own? Ninningers basket of everything was literally an udon pot of weirdness.
|
Looking closely at the pictures, I do think they separate into their individual zords.
You can see a peg coming out of the arm that would come from the yellow dump truck that serves no purpose in that form, as well as a wheel on the back of that arm. It looks too me that the dog can be removed from the leg as well. You can see bits of sculpt going into the leg and there is shadow there suggesting the recessed portion that the dog lays in. Finally, the pictures do demonstrate that the dragon can be removed from it's position as an arm. I must admit though, I was scratching my head too about their combining abilities till I looked really, really close at the pics. Not the best way to advertise their toys. On the lighter side of things. I love how you can put a full action figure in the seat to "drive" the megazord. That's just a fun play pattern. |
I've said it elsewhere on this site but eh, I like it.
Looking forward to the other otomonin variants. |

I really yearn for the days of good Megazords again. These last, since like Go-Onger, Sentai Mecha have just been ridiculous and overdone. |

I can't imagine why they WOULDN'T make it combine-able though...considering it quite literally just looks like a re-paint. |

I never really liked Paonmaru that much but unified color scheme for Rumble Tusk does make me like it more, now just have to wait for UFO and my lovely purple megazord
|
|
That still doesn't answer/quell our concerns. CAN IT ASSUME AN ELEPHANT FORM?
|
It's nice to see that the red zord is getting it's own articulated figure. Definitely something that'll be worth getting to add to the main Megazord. I'll also definitely be getting the inevitable articulated figure for the 6th Ranger's blue zord.

The legs do transform into the "sitting pose" which is also part of the Elephant Otominwhatever's transformation into an elephant and also comes with the necessary parts to form it.
|
Something I just thought of. When they first released the new version of the original Megazord. The box didn't indicate anywhere on it that it could assume it's "tank form". This could be a similar situation where Paonmaru can transform, but for what ever reason they don't want to take the time to talk about it. At least not directly

Where did these articulated figure photos originate from? Red is looks wonderfully detailed! |

http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/images.../BANA10585.jpg And I am pretty sure the elephant has an elephant mode, all the necessary pieces for it to have it are there. My main concern here is whether or not we will get a BOA version of Lion HA OH. |
Well it's a good thing I didn't get the SSA Shinobimaru. That figure looks like it will be a pretty good substitute for it. Still gonna get the SSA Rodeomaru though, I want that little Akaninger Chozetsu figure for Lion Ha-Oh.

Are those Rangers with Armor Shurikenns? If so, nifty!
|
Something odd, I found this site which has all the UPC codes for the upcoming Power Rangers figures of 2017 (which to my surprize includes MMPR Titanus in black, but for $200 which is totally bonkers) and it has 2 Ninja Steel Megazords. One for $35 MSRP (the one above) but another at $60:
