I love how they're going even more super robot with these designs.

Agreed, those are some nice super robot designs.

Hmm, not sure how I feel about those. They're nice designs but I already miss the clunkier look of the original film.

These kinda look like they'd be better in an animated series or something.

I find myself sharing these views.

We have to see how they look from film rather than from promo-art, but I really like them. It makes sense that future Jaegers would become more sleek and streamlined with time.

I do like the new designs, they look cool. However...

I do agree with this, it might be the colour of the robots cos those colours make it look like it should be in an animated series. Especially the orange one on the left. First thing I thought when I saw that one was "is that suppose to be a giant skinny mecha Baymax?"

I guess the cartoon look mostly comes from the very bright colors which might just be a result of them being drawn. I would assume the final CG models in the film will have a more wathered and used look.

The Red one looks like Code Geass mixed with Tiger and Bunny.

I like these designs because they remind me of a ps2 game I think it was called R.A.D. Robotic Alchemic Drive. Its a game where you control one of three giant (a skinny one that turns into a jet, a big chunky slow one that turns into a tank, and one that transforms into a slight boosted form like the Shining Gundam when is uses the Shining Finger) robots from the outside (from the top of a building or even on the robots' shoulders) with something that looks like a playstation controller to fight monsters and stuff. Speaking of I do hope there is a good game for Pacific Rim 2.

I know that one. It's the shit... although, it can cause PS2 slims to overheat and melt your memory cards...

Anyway, seriously, it's one of the most interesting games I've ever played. I'm still hoping for at least a spiritual successor to it.

Is it just me...or does the one on the left look a lot like Animated Bulk Head?

If I'm remembering correctly, wasn't Pacfic Rim 2 going to deal with how the Jaegers would be now in a world without the Kaiju? If they are still going with that idea, I think these more slimmed downed and animesque design for the Jaegers make sense provided they are going with the story that I think they are going with.

Interesting designs. Not at-all surprised by Gypsy Danger 2.0. The look of this promo art reminds me, wasn't there at one point going to be a Pacific Rim cartoon... or maybe a comic?

Yeah they definitely feel different than the ones from the first film, but I don't exactly dislike them.

Meh, just going to look forward to seeing how they look in the movie and not just art.

I'll wait to make any judgements until I see them in motion.

That said, the red one looks a lot like Eva Unit 02. Like, an awful awful lot.
