Second release in the Akibaranger Figuarts, here we have Akiba Blue. Mitsuki Aoyagi/Akiba Blue is a famous 18-year-old martial artist who became an Akibaranger to improve her fighting skills. Referencing veteran action director Kazuo Niibori as her inspiration.

I thought I could pass on Akibaranger but now I wanna get them...

Methinks you've never watched the show... Or know very little about it. I've only watched two episodes and I know that it was probably going to be a running joke (not necessarily the panties, but Akiba Blue being placed into awkward situations with Akiba Red). It's not any of us being particularly perverted or disgusting (as you suggested in another thread linking to a review of this figure) - it's a trait of the show and people are just having fun with it.

That said, it still doesn't appeal to me for that very reason. But hey, it's still a good figure.

I know right? I hated the very idea of the series. Now I keep looking at them and I can't help it. I want them. Well, I want Red and Blue. I still don't like Yellow.

That reminds me, AmiAmi is awaiting my payment for AkibaBlue. Suppose I should go pay for it.

How come you don't like Yellow? Is it because of the design?

I guess it's the constant "Nyayayayayayayayayaya!!!!" That can get a little overbearing. Plus that whole dude voice thing when her costume gets contramised still creeps me out something fierce.

The NyaNya thing makes me turn violent, the male voice thing doesnt really bother me. Mostly it's her car paw wearing, neko, thing. It annoys me feircely.

I got her Today, haven't opened it yet though. Not too excited about it...

Now I know how u guys feel about Yellow...I got curious and saw a few episodes today. The show is kinda interesting but I have a lot of question about the show...like what up with the gun that they use to transform?

Moe Moe Z-Cune (the gun) is based on the anime Z-Cune Aoi (the chick that's plastered all over the Robo Itashar) Which are both created by the same person.

Ah so it like a crossover thing going on?

Z-Cune Aoi isn't a real anime. It's a show within the show. The car and gun are both devices made by the same person and the devices are modeled after the show within a show.

Akibaranger is a totally tounge-in-cheek and at times very meta series. It's made by tokusatsu geeks for tokusatsu geeks. Well worth a watch at only 13 episodes.

I need every single one of these figures. I mostly like how the designs are so separate from each others. Even the mech from this line was very ambitious. I'm surprised to find out more and more people don't like this series.
