Injured? Geez, how hard did he grab this woman?

@Topic: Shame on him for being a complete asshole. Too bad we won’t see the Professor on screen again but they told pretty much everything they could with him so there's no real need to feature again either. |
Well that's one way to screw over your career.
|
I feel like of all the Gaim actors, I am least surprised it was they guy who played Ryoma who would do something like this. Talk about undermining yourself with that drunken move.
|
You know this makes that scene where Mitchy foolishly leaves him alone with Mai near the show's end disturbing. Glad his career's pretty much over cause of this.

Too bad. No more Aguri I guess. |

Well I guess that explains why he was so good at playing a reprehensible asshole with loose morals?
|
Wonder how this is going to affect the Garo movie that's supposed to come out this spring. That's supposed to be out soon, but Japan is pretty aggressive about scrubbing the careers of actors with criminal records.

I mean, actor's qualities as a human being discounted, I wouldn't trust Sengoku to not dissect my cat if I left him alone with it, let alone an unconscious girl directly related to his area of research. |
This is why you shouldn't drink alcohol.

And before you say they'll make it worse, I question your taste in friends. |

Wow this is shocking to hear. He was drunk grab a woman and now his career is over.
You know sometimes I feel that people bully others to much when something bad like this happen to an actor when other have done much worst. I just wonder what will happen to him now? Will he have to find a new job or different career path? |
Ehh getting drunk varies to person to person and the amount drank. Too bad he is not in America. Yes he will still get hate , but he could still get passed it I mean look at Mel Gibson.
Plus would anyone expect Ryoma to have any skills with women, specially a drunk Ryoma? Great now I want to see a video on how Ryoma would pick up women. |

It's disappointing but, as much as I enjoyed Duke/Ryoma, I'm not going to attempt to defend Tsunenori's actions. |
I definitely feel that as a tokusatsu fan, you sometimes must separate your enjoyment of an actor in their role from the actual actor. This is certainly not the first time something like this has happened to a well-liked actor and we don't HAVE to defend them, but we can also still enjoy the show just fine. Remember when the guy who played Super-1 told his fans he was in desperate need of money and then ran off with the cash? We can still enjoy Super-1!

If they ever recast I hope they get either Kamen Rider Drake or ToQ2. Or Zero from Geed. Anyhoos a shame Aoki messed up.

Even drunk, that's some messed up stuff. Physically assaulted a woman, and enough so to leave bruises/marks. There is no rationalization that makes that okay. Especially the kind of assault it categorically is. |

It's kind of in the same category of people who seem to think that if they want something, it MUST be a good thing that is good for them, screw what anyone else says. Inhibitions are not a bad thing that only bad people need to fake being good. Let's not bully the guy for acting like a complete idiot/asshole while not in his right mind. Like, yell at him for drinking irresponsibly, sure, but let's not judge his full character just by what he did while not fully in control. Unless you've never wanted to do something wrong ever, regardless of whether you stopped yourself. In which case, go ahead, throw the first stone, Immanuel. |

End of line. Quote:
By all means, when I do something immeasurably stupid, dangerous, and irresponsible, call me out. |
It was more a general complaint about a meme, the actual idea proposed by Dawkins, that I see going around rather than a direct defense of the guy.
He's still a moron, just not necessarily a total scumbag. Does... does that make sense? Legitimate question, I have trouble communicating ideas sometimes. |

All the drunkenness does is lessen his culpability for the offense. That’s it. It doesn’t absolve him. |

Then I pray that you never mess up....
|
Now this is getting me curious on how you all are when you are drunk.

She think you don't think he's a bad guy because you're not trying to bury him like everyone else. Which, in the same sense, I should be in the same boat, because I'm on Tsunenori's side.
