Are Korean release sentai mecha as good as the japanese release?
 

i ask this because i am severely needing a gozyujin for my gokaiger DX collection (only missing him and machalcon) and i can get the korean release for $80-90 shipped

are the korean releases as good quality as the japanese ones?

well I had no issues with the Korean Transformers, if that helps

As I've heard, they're pretty much direct repacks, as is the case with most of the roleplay toys. Issues of different sounds aren't going to be a problem in this case either.
EDIT: It completely slipped my mind until ComicGuy89's post that Korea sells the toys under their Power Rangers lines, and aren't encompassed by Bandai Asia. Listen to him instead.

I think it depends on which Sentai series you're talking about. The Korean releases are not as good as the Hong Kong ones (Bandai Asia) which I hear are pretty much direct repacks, Japanese writing and all, with changes only to sound levels. From my personal experience, the Gaoranger mecha are inferior to their Japanese counterparts, with cheaper plastic (Transformers-level), loose joints and a severe lack of die-cast. I've heard good things about other series though, so hopefully someone else can share their experience.

I just received a Korean Gokaioh today and its exactly like the BoJ version from what I can see from pictures! Awesome toy overall!

yes please post photos, cause once i get solid info that gozyujin should be just the same as the BoJ one, i'm buying it.

Nice to see the improvement. I only knew of the quality of the Gaoranger Korean versions and it scared me offa ever looking into Korean versions for any Super Sentai stuff

Inside the box it came held by a plastic bubble card thing like the Samurai Zords do. And it did also come with the chest cannon tho I haven't taken a pic with it!

as long as the plastic quality seems to be good i'll get the gozyujin. i wished there was a way for me to handle a korean gokai-oh so i could compare it to my BoJ Gokai-oh without buying one :lol

i just want to shake gokai-ohs :lolol

Oh and it looks great with other Zords/Mecha... Im so excited to have this.

Just so everyone knows also I purchased from newstar3 on eBay. Shipping gets a little wonky from Korea, but thats not his fault! Good ol Usps lol

Well if its any help DaiRiderRX, the thing feels pretty solid while not being overly heavy. Nothing rattles around or makes noise and its sturdy from what I can tell. Ive never held a BoJ anything lol.

I thank you for all your help, its sounding like they have stepped up the plastic quality of their releases, and i'll be picking up Gozyujin as soon as i can

now, to get my hands on a machalcon after that :lol

Are the Korean Gaoranger animals worse than the BOA releases? I was thinking of eventually getting the Korean Isis Megazord eventually since I can't find another good price on it. I wouldn't care if the only big change is removed dicast.
