Disney won't go up for sale in any of our lifetimes. If ever.

It will literally never happen. The sheer incompetence needed to put Disney, owner of Marvel, owner of FOX and owner of Star Wars under is completely unheard of. Get the dumbest businessmen out there who bankrupt their own companies multiple times and they STILL wouldn't be able to do it

The chinese are the most funders and sponsors of the company, they're the candidates.

The Mouse has ties to things that can't be named to make sure his company wont fall. But if the unthinkable happens and the Mouse goes down then we are all fucked.

I don't think so. Its pretty insane how big disney is now. Its getting to the point where it might be easier to list off what they don't own vs what they do.

His recent topics make me think that Sevenlima is actually a billionaire who prepares to take over the entire entertainment industry.

Bragging rights, sorta like a dick measuring contest type of thing.

I feel like we don't need anymore Monopoly in our industry. I think it is rather gross that people want other companies to buy other companies just that they can have more IPs under their belt. To most people, they want all of their toys in the same toybox when the industry needs to have competition. That's why Marvel didn't want to buy DC in the 80s since they would own the whole comic book market and no one need to compete in sales.

Yeah, i think Disney is getting too much powerful recently and besides there'll be no competiton if buy more companies.

That made for a good laugh. For various "echoes of the past" reasons. Sevenlima isn't any kind of big money to be concerned of in that way.

Most of lima's posts seem like blatant musings that are echoed from a different source. Most of which are pretty old at this point.

Let say Disney was for sell, do you have any general idea how much it would cost? The answer is a super mega fuck ton for how much they own that I honestly believe it would take more than one country to afford it. Actually think of it like buying a country.

They mentioned earlier. They think Disney's getting too powerful and there'll be a lack of competition.

I believe this thread makes for a good microcosm of the problems with the belief that individual companies and people are the issue, rather than flaws system-wide that allow for such exploitation to happen in the first place and allow companies like this to accumulate money and IPs on an insane scale. At some point we're going to have to realise that this is an issue that extends beyond a few companies being evil-bad and a scapegoat for all problems to be blamed upon, and instead look towards revisions that must be made to prevent things like this from happening again and again. If we keep believing that it's just a problem on an individual scale and that we can just remove the people making the problems from power - by, say, getting in new bosses at Disney or having some other party buy out Disney - then we are simply oblivious to these systematic problems and blissfully believe that someone else will sort it out even though we're just giving them the power to be even worse than the problem companies we have now.
