Themes for new riders in the Reiwa era?
 

Any good themes in mind? Maybe Shinobi if rebooted with a new design.

I hope we get something new and fresh for the new era, but I doubt it. It seems like the rider format since 2007 will probably never go way.

We'll only get it if the franchise's toy sales decline and ratings dropped, as evidenced by Sentai (although they did something fresh with Kyuranger and LuPat but it made things worse).

But yeah I really want a new grasshopper theme. You can make em animal themed, like OOO 2.0, but the main Rider has to be an insect.

I wish they make evil organizations like the showa ones.

Sport theme especially for Tokyo 2020 Olympic reference.....

Ganma from Kamen Rider Ghost and Faust from Kamen Rider Build are have Showa vibes villains in my opinion......

I think the previous main Rider who have grasshopper motif as one of primary motif is Kamen Rider W....

Drinks and foods actually are very interesting theme for Kamen Rider :D

I always like when they add multiple themes with riders like Gaim with Samurai and Fruit and with a bit of break dancing competitions, or Ex-aid with Video games and doctors.

Next theme maybe Pirates and Films (Like a film themed with reels and movie equipment weapons and it's also Pirate themed)
or Dinosaurs and Dj's (Music and dinosaurs could go together)

Or they can just keep it simple and go back to grasshoppers lol.

What about mixing tarot cards with treasure hunting? Thinking JoJo's Stardust Crusaders.

Wish they'd take Sentai themes and adapt it to Kamen Rider. Would be interesting. I don't think we've had a Kamen Rider show based around dinosaurs or ninjas or pirates (No, forms do not count).

Mystical riders again or technical riders. I'm in for another take on secret or public government rider systems with a gimmick. Still want akibarider.

I'm in insect sentai for full team without mixing frog, crane, or ninja. I have a feeling they're doing ninja again soon and insects might fit in. It'll will be spy and hiding in secret compares to nininger. Maybe darker spandex in color tone.

A Cooking Chef rider would be very interesting! Now I want to draw something like that I wonder what the name would be maybe "Kamen Rider Gourmet" or something like that. Maybe using something like dishes to henshin and using different Dish plate collectibles to use weapons or to transform into a different modes. Now i'm having all these ideas now I have to draw all this up! :lol

A new show could bring back the old essence from the showa but is never gonna happen.

How about mechas - Gundam & Zoids style? With Evangelion.

I doubt, this kind of format belongs to Sentai.

We should start things off with bug men. I don't think we've had a main Rider that was fully a bug since Kabuto (not including alternate forms like GataKiriBa).

They can mix in that motif with something else, but I'd like to see them go back to the bug-theme again, even if only for one season.

Oh, and if we get a Chef/Cooking themed Kamen Rider show, then appearances from Shouichi and Tendou are basically mandatory.

I also don't think the riders could be mecha pilots, but that doesn't eliminate the aesthetic as an option for their suits. Honestly, whatever theme is picked for the reiwa riders, I just hope they either have a purpose for the forehead crystal, or they don't use it.

What about different systems that riders could use? I'd kinda like to see a system for which the top and bottom powers can switch up readily. It'd take 2 collectibles to transform. While there would be a button on the driver for rotation (switching the top and bottom powers), you could also remove collectible items and replace them with others for when neither item in the current pair helps fight the monster of the week. This would require the henshin function to be separate from the finisher function, unlike the Build Driver, so I'm not sure if Toei will try it.

Actually you know what I saw a good potential theme. There's rumours of the next show using music, specifically stuff like Walkmans and headphones

If the new rider actually uses a walkman they're gonna be Faiz's best friend

Music in general would be a great theme considering the whole deal with belts today is jingles and stuff.

Let's go full circle, and make the theme toys.
From non articulated sofubi, to transforming figures, to combining figures, etc etc.

I'd love another season to try a gothic aesthetic again honestly
