The might of the RyuSoul Caliber awakens Noblesse RyuSoul Red & Gold!

Oh look! Another damn armor for red.

Didn't we literally just get a red power-up?

They're pretending this one is a Red and Gold thing but I'm not holding my breath.

This 'upgrade' confuses me even on top of that. After the mighty and bulky exclusive armour for Red, the final toy is... a vest and a cape? It looks really weak not just compared to MaxRyusoul but also any of the previous armours.

It's because this thing looks rather lame that I believe it will mostly go to Canaro while Koh sticks with his Max powerup.

I think what throws it off a lot for me is that the top section isn't 'filled in'. Usually that sort of silhouette would be a piece of armour with shoulderpads, but here it's just... sort of... the outline of one. Which really weakens it imo.

I'll wait till I see it in action to judge. I at least really like capes, so that's something.

I would love for this to be the next ranger team.

It's pretty much inevitable it'll happen. I doubt it'll be the very next one just because there wouldn't be much planning time in between Beast Morphers and adapting a season that's literally airing this year, but it's Dinosaurs. It's gonna happen

Is it just me, or does the green blade look really out of place on the Ryusoul Caliber? Pretty much any other color would've been better IMO.

On the upside, this Noblesse cape looks really good on Gold. Not just the color, but the upward angles of the collar and those shoulder things matche nicely with the shapes of his helmet.

Yeah to be honest, the upgrade looks better suited for Canalo than Koh. With RyuSoul Red, the red colouring of the base suit makes the upgrade stand out too much but with RyuSoul Gold, it melds really well. And the green on the RyuSoul Calibur is so out of place.

For what it's worth, the upper-left corner of the last scan, showing Pink and Black fighting Max Red, specifically brings up the possibility that the others could use the Ryusoul Calibur after enough training.

The already absurd amount of love Koh and Canalo get when it comes to merch has definitely hit a new high, though. I don't know if it's offensive on the level of giving Lupin X Keiichirou's big power up yet, but given that Koh just got a very cool looking final form with some major emotional weight behind it in the story, I think it would've made a lot more sense to simply have this be the "everyone else" power up to begin with.

Still, I can't say no to a good cape.

Why only Red and Gold? Why not the entire team, essentially making this a team powerup like every Sentai should have? Seriously why aren't they doing team powerups anymore? Do they not sell well or something? I know the last team upgrade was Go-Busters and they had low toy sales, but getting rid of team upgrades are ridiculous.

Another power up for Ryusoul Red? I'm now even more insulted at Nada's death.

Because it’s much cheaper and more profitable to have a one-at-a-time power up. Plus like you said, teams with whole team forms haven't sold at all well since Magiranger.

That's kinda weird honestly. Sentai (or Toei in general) would have no problem in whipping out extra suits. Hell Kamen Rider nowadays tends to whip out so many forms and they got irrelevant the moment the Rider obtains an upgrade.

Also as for the low toy sales for team forms, does it mean that the toy associated with the forms themselves sold badly?

Don't get ne wrong I actually like Red getting a Battilizer final form but other members need some love as well. Even Kamen Riders now would make sure the characters would have more than one form if possible.

Plus, the Noblesse cloak is so simplistic they could have easily whip out extra four copies of it. Yeah, there is a high chance that other team members could use it as well, but I would rather they obtain it as a team.

One thing I really liked in Kyuranger and Lupin VS Pat was that they had powerups that were unique but not exclusive to the Red rangers. Even if most of them did get hogged by Red until the finale... what I'd love to see is a season where each ranger, or at least a core trio of Red, Blue and Yellow/Pink, all got powerups specific to them. Best of all if each one had its own design, origin and story mini-arc to obtain it, like with Hebitsukai Metal.

Double post sorry, but yeah Nada's death is a huge blow since I genuinely enjoyed RyuSoulger despite its flaws and this is a downhill.

Despite that I am genuinely hoping that Nada (and the masters) to be revived in the finale. Guess I should expect to be disappinted as a precaution.

so when are we getting the ryusoul edge

December. Most likely around the christmas episode.

Noblesse Ryusoul looks great but it really should be going to any of the other Ryusoulgers (I guess nice that Canalo gets it). Really devaluing Max's FINAL FORM status.

It's also not a great design but whatever. I still like the show but lately the toys have directly interfered with the quality of the storytelling.

New Scans which reveal that Red and Gold are not the only ones who get a power-up!

More importantly, there is a strangely familiar villain covered in spikes who makes me wonder if The Strongest Battle will become even more relevant (to say nothing of Zyuranger)!

If it me, or does Master Black's visor seem different? It looks different for some reason.

Awesome to see more colours than Red and 6 get the powerup; but I'm sure that guy has as much to do with Sentai Strongest as Kyuranger has to do with Gokaiger x Goseiger :p
