A mysterious fog blankets the city, causing anyone within it to be tormented by their dreams.

I quite liked the look of that Minusaur. It looked really cool.

I didn't like how they dealt with the fear fog though. I mean a Dry Soul, really? Towa was on the verge of breaking it with sheer will power then Melto just bust out the Dry Soul to beat it? Just wasn't done well in my opinion.

I'm interested though with what they are hinting at with regards to Master Black. Can't wait to see where they're going to take it story wise.

By the way what happened to Ui? It's been a couple of episodes that she hadn't showed up. Not that she really contributes much to the story but I found it a bit odd since she's supposed to be the main support character.

It was an enjoyable enough episode. I also liked the look of the Minusaur like chasesinister.

The plot was a bit all over the place. Was it about a mirror that shows you your death? A Minusaur using fear? Bamba and the others learning that their friendship is important? It was all of that but nothing really well done.

All in all i think Ryusoulger was a fun time but if the last few episodes won't do something crazy it will be a Sentai show that is just in the middle of my personal list. It was good and fun but not great and did not do much with its characters and world. Kind of sad but i still had a good time.

Curious what the next episodes will bring

Rysoulger in a nutshell really.

Yeah... I was actually going to do a little write-up on this episode, but, and this isn't the first time this has happened, I lost the will to do so when I realized it'd be pretty much the same thing as I've written for most episodes I post about.

One unique thing to say is that this episode seems to go out of its way to address the issues the show has developed, between having everyone transform together, having Melto use the Ryusoul Calibur, and finally getting everyone in the dang robot at once.

Beyond that though, it's the usual. Kinda clever, pretty fun, a little unfocused, a little dumb.

Honestly, that bit kind of annoyed me. He gets to use it... and promptly gets his ass kicked in 40 seconds.

Which, I'm okay with his ass getting kicked even with the upgrade given the context of the scene and the episode; but since this is pretty much his episode, it would've been great to see him use it again later and win with it this time. But instead, nah, Red and Gold continue to be the only ones who can actually use it.

It's a bit like that one time the girls in Kiva got to be Ixa. Yeah, sure, they got to use it; but it's not really their power and they're just kind of borrowing it for a one-and-done. It's a similar thing here: I'll be surprised if Melto actually gets to use this again.

Oh man, have we reached the point where Ryusoulger is being likened to Kiva?

I honestly don't know how to feel about that. :lol

I've always liked that 2-parter in Kiva. Even if they could have transformed into someone more often which I'm sure Yuri did become Ixa at least one other time if I remember rightly it was a well-done fight scene and it was a cool story.

So I lost interest in this series by the number 11 or so.

I like LuPat, NinNin, Gokai, and GoBust, but unable to finish all series between NinNin and LuPat. Do you think I would like this series?

Whats that sound? Sounds like someone is dissing Kiva.So I did hear the sounds of a Kiva diss. But seriously no matter how flawed Kiva was I would still rather Ryusoulger be like Kiva so that might finally be a reason for me to watch the rest of this bland badly planned out show.
Nope nope nope nope! Dude if you haven't finished Zyuohger because you don't like something about it then stay far away from this show.

Hilarious of you to say this when they've already watched more of this show than you have.

Maybe super-sentai in general has fallen too childish for me.
Hey, it's a kid's show :)

The next one looks even more childish..but eh, maybe my daughter would love it.

And from what I read from these threads every week, I made the right call of stop watching it.

I thought this episode was fine. Noblesse Ryusoul Blue getting his ass kicked rather quick was a surprising subversion, since we thought him using the upgrade would make them win the fight per toku standards. Also the fact that the episode went from a Melt-focused episode to a Banba one towards the end.

While I bitched a lot about the show, Ryusoulger as a whole doesn't really piss me off too much compared to previous Sentai. I couldn't finish, Ninnin and Zyuoh, tried to see the good in Kyuranger but the series has way too much wrong despite the second half being stronger, and LuPat was fine until the finale, even if the biggest problem being Patren being sidelined.

Maybe because of Sentai being bad for years caused me to have absolute zero expectations towards Ryusoulger, so that's why I enjoy it okay-ly. It's not a terrible series, but a very safe one which is fitting because reusing dinosaurs is a safe move.
