If you buy Humagear, what would you do with it?
 

This is HYPOTHETICAL question.

Imagine you decides to go online to buy a Humagear and you must read the terms of service (which you would do that anyway). After going through that, you must choose the job that your ordered HumaGear will perform, and then can choose from any of three plans:

* S Class Plan - A special plan that lets the customer customize their HumaGear's appearance.

* A Class Plan - A standard plan that has a limited amount of customization and is balanced to suit the job the customer needs the HumaGear to perform.

* HC-Hiden's Choice - A plan that Hiden Intelligence selects for the customer, using a standard base for the HumaGear and automatically adjusting it up to a certain level for the work it is going to be required to do. Physical customization will also be up to Hiden Intelligence's automated selection.

After that, you pretty much own this Humagear but however there's an 1 article from Specialized A.I. Laws regarding Humagear.

* Article 6 - Creation of an android that bears another person's likeness without consent is forbidden, regardless of the said likeness is of a family member. Using the likeness of a deceased person is also forbidden.

You can customize your own Humagear as long it doesn't resemble the person you love without their consent or a deceased person you once love.

I keep wondering if there's some kind of law or at least policy in place to prevent that; like how that one guy wasn't supposed to make a Humagear duplicate of his daughter. I don't want to stereotype, but come on, guys, it's Japan. You know there's got to be a lot of messed up stuff going on with Humagears if it weren't outlawed.

Android waifus, yea. Would have to go S Class for that. And if I get signed legal consent, replicate dead loved ones. And I would also do that, too.

If no waifus and no signed legal consent, than I'd probably get a butler or maid type Humagear instead, and if I had kids, get them to be a child-raising type as well.

He didn’t get into trouble for creating a young girl-type Humagear, the reason why he got into trouble with A.I.M.S. is because he customized a Humagear on his dead daughter and here’s an article from Specialized A.I. Law

I don't remember (maybe missed it) anyone saying it was weird or usually forbidden even just for the sake or letting us know that kind of lore detail.

I don't know why on earth there's a bunch of comments here regarding making waifu Humagears, but okay sure fine, each to their own I guess...?

I'm not too keen on having a slave around with me so I'll just have any type of Humagear and then let it evolve into a Singularity. Then I dunno, we'll go around raising hell or something, I don't care, I'm just not too keen on the idea of owning something that can grow sentient. I have way too many ethical issues regarding this.

And this is also why I'm not exactly a big fan of Mr. Thousand Percent.

In all honesty though, the idea of observing a Humagear evolve into a Singularity sounds far more appealing to me.

So what will I do with Humagears? I shall order not one, but THOUSANDS of them. I shall interact with, observe and record the Humagears and form some sort of robotic society that can co-exist with humans and do human stuff like work, play, share, kill each other, troll each other on the internet, hold gear pride events, etc.

And then I shall lay on my deathbed happy that I was able to freak out the world in some way or shape before most likely being killed by a Terminator-type Humagear with a HAL 9000 voice wearing a Darth Vader cosplay helmet.

Yeah, I know. What I meant is that there must be some other laws like that one on the books that regulate how Humagears can be designed/used.

Hm, I feel like I'd just wanna give them the chance to live life & experience it like we humans do. It's kinda like the whole butler-scenario to me; I don't want a servant, just a buddy.

God.............that's so tempting. 😅 I know I wouldn't say "no" to either.

I'd get an artist-type Humagear like G-Pen, because I want to make comics and am pretty good at writing but really bad at drawing, so having someone else to handle the artistic side would be a big help.

But like others have said, keeping one like a slave just seems wrong, so I'd try to treat them as an equal and let them make their own choices, and if that meant letting them go once they reached singularity, so be it.

inb4 my humagear hates me once I let it free

In all honesty, I'd find a use for it somehow if I decided to buy one. No point in letting all that money go to waste?
