I can see Den-O's weapon become a favorite of many due to how it has multiple modes. But I'm not really a fan if its design. ZeroGasher however, is perfect. Despite being only 2 modes, the fact that it changes from a big sword to a bowgun is why I love it, putting a spin on the whole 'sword-to-gun' weapons.

I don't know about you, but 2012 is the year of bows. Thanks to Hawkeye, Brave and Katniss Everdeen, bows have become the go to weapon of badassery. And it's ilonly a matter of time Kamen Rider decides to make it.

And Sonic Arrow is just a beautifully designed weapon.

1) Ride Heisaber

Decade is one of my favorite Riders ever, and what better way to have a weapon based on him? But the best part about Ride Heisaber is that you don't need Ridewatches to unlock all the powers, they can be used right away! Plus a weapon containing elements of 20 Heisei Riders, it's a god-tier gamebreaking weapon.

I'll do one for Sentai soon.

Is the Ride Heiseiber really based on Decade though? It features more than ten riders, and it has Zi-O's watch motif from top to bottom. If it wasn't used by Decade Armour, I don't think there'd be any reason to associate it with Decade!

My first choice for favourite weapon that came to mind was the Blade Rouzer, it being a cool sword, the coolness of flipping out the cards, and how you swipe them to access their powers. A part of me feels like that might be unfair though, since the Rouzers aren't like typical Rider weapons, instead they're like Ryuki's visors in that they're how you actually play with that season's gimmick. It's why I wouldn't count the Diendriver, or the Transteam Gun. But it's a sword and it's super cool, so I'll count it.

Second after that is the Kaixa Blaygun. It's so unbelievably cool and stylish, both as a cross-shaped gun and a cross-shaped laser blade. Every little movement like the gun part extending out just looks so good.

I'd include the Ixa Calibur right after that, but it's similar enough to the Kaixa Blaygun that I feel like I'd just be counting the same weapon twice.

Third is the GX-05 Cerberus. Briefcase-shaped machine that unfolds into a heavy-duty gatling gun that can also fire a rocket? Absolutely awesome. There's something really great about how G3-X's finisher is just to shoot at the enemy with enough bullets until they explode.

Best weapons in term of being the most fun and functionable toy goes to the Gan Gun Saber.

True dat, but I prefer it for being an all-in-one type of weapon.

1. Blade Rouser
Just shy of being Blade's transformation item, otherwise it would've been the most important tool of his. I absolutely love it. Not only that, but it looks slick as hell, especially when the cards are fanned out.

2. Ongekigen
I love Hibiki's Ongekibou and Ibuki's Ongekikan, but there's just something about Todoroki and Zanki's Ongekigen that really gets me hype. The bladed guitar is just so cool~

3. Leangle Rouser
Look...I just love polearms, okay? Staves are always a favorite weapon of mine :lol

a classic, it's simple to use it, just find something that similar to the weapon, touch/hold it, done

I'm not sure what my other two would be - there's too much good to choose from! - but, god yes, Heisaber is Number 1. It's the most beautiful thing I've ever heard and seen and I will never not be aghast at the treatment it got in-series; this should have been Grand's weapon!

I suppose I should share my top 3.

3. The Gan Gun Hand/Catcher purely for how unique it is as a weapon.

2. The Perfect Zecter for how it manages to look cool in spite of how the concept would point to it looking.

1. The Zanbat Sword. I like the whole melody it plays and how the blade is essentially a score sheet with the hilt being moved along with it.

De-aged Ryotaro once used Sword mode in Cho Den-O Trilogy Episode Blue. I remember it specifically because it was odd that he didn't went straight to Liner Form and used Plat Form instead.

(1) DestClaws, Kamen Rider Tiger's Strike Vent. Simple and effortlessly badass.

(2) Giga Launcher, Kamen Rider Zolda's Shoot Vent (the bazooka). Again, simple and effortlessly badass.

(3) Bio-Winder, Kamen Rider Verde's Hold Vent. A yo-yo made from a chameleon monster's eye, enough said.

In the non-Ryuki/non-Vent category, gotta second Kuuga's weapons for their beautiful elegance (Dragon Rod being my personal favorite), and Hibiki's musical weapons for the awesome concept of taiko-drumming/trumpet-blowing/guitar-strumming big-ass monsters into oblivion.

The most honorable of mentions to Black's Battle Hopper (yes that should count).

Any fight scene choreography with polearm/long staff tend to be a treat on my eyes, so gotta agree with this as well. Leangle's Rouser's definitely my favorite weapon in Blade, the suit actor used it so beautifully.

I should think about this more. But right off the top of my head:

Faiz Phone - A very basic futuristic concept that is self sufficient. Backed by one of the smoothest voices in all of toku. The henshin belt is one of the most icon aspects of a rider, and here it is also a weapon!

GX-05 Cerberus - It reminds me of all the awesome Metal Heroes weapons. Transforming weapons are the epitome of cool, but impractical.

Kaixa Blaygun - Dual purpose high tech weaponry. It is used so well in the show with such a great finisher. I could probably fill an entire list of just 555 weapons.


Honorable mention: Revolcane - It's a beam sword/light saber/energy blade. At a very core level, that's a simply cool concept. A kid could have never seen any sci-fi show and yet know exactly what to do with it.

1) I'll second the Sonic Arrow. Bows are probably my favorite type of Kamen Rider weapons, especially the ones that can also be wielded in melee, and of those the Sonic Arrow is the best IMO.

2) The Shingou Axe is such a silly idea, I mean it's based on a crosswalk light of all things, but it's one of my favorites for how they used it in the show, including the all-time best integration of a silly weapon phrase into a serious scene: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b6SYwbXBw2g

3) And lastly, the tragically underused Hamel Cane. I know Hibiki is the main series for musical weapons, but I love the Hamel Cane's design, and that once scene of Wiseman playing it while walking calmly towards a phantom just radiates coolness.

Agreed. I do wish it got used in a couple more dynamic methods, but I'm sure the prop probably couldn't handle it :lol

There's just an art to staff choreography that makes it so much flashier than swords. It really makes me hope to see more characters with staffs.

There's absolutely no way I can pick three particular weapons, but I will pop in here to back this statement up. I remember during my rewatch of Double a while back consistently being blown away by how stylish any scene involving the Metal Shaft was, and just feeling so grateful Double managed to avoid even having a sword until over halfway through the show. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love me a good sword, and if I was making a top 3, there's an extremely good chance the WizarSwordGun would be #1, because Takaiwa-san was just as flashy with that thing, but I honestly did feel there was something almost magical about how many windows for different, fun body language and movements having a Rider with a staff opened up.

On a side-note, I also remember finding it really neat rewatching Double how the Trigger Magnum's primary gimmick with Luna Trigger was that the bullets never shoot straight. It's like they went out of their way to make his fighting styles really memorable and unique from the norm every way they could. Also, I guess I accidentally just mentioned three particular weapons, so you might think that counts as my list, but trust me, I have nice things to say about a lot more of them.

Okay, so first and foremost, I tend to dislike anything that looks like it's just a big plastic roleplay toy. That automatically disqualifies pretty much everything from the Neo Heisei era onwards (and some of the stuff that came before). I know it's all plastic and foam, but I appreciate it when the shows at least try to make an effort to hide that fact.

3. The Den-Gasher. Yeah, it's pretty unrealistic, but I really do like the modular nature and I love how the weapon's tip detaches and flies around for Sword Form's hissatsu waza (translator's note: hissatsu waza = "ultimate attack")

2. Ongekigen. This was a hard choice over the other oni weapons, either of which could easily take third place if I didn't want to diversify. It's hard to be cooler than a double-bladed axe that's also an electric guitar, though.

1. Kaixa's Blaygun. I've mentioned before that Kaixa is one of my all-time favorite Rider suit designs and that extends to his equipment, as well. The blaygun is a beautiful piece of gear that is highly stylish in both gun and sword modes. All of the weapons and armor from Faiz look great, but this is definitely the cream of the crop.

2.) Pine Crusher (it's a pineapple based mace for Pete's sake!)

3.) Zikan Despear (it looks fun.)

But for me in no particular order

TheBee's/Drake's/Sasword's: I really do love these things, they've got cool noises, look fantastic and give each of them a unique fighting style for the series.

The GanGan Saber/Hand/Catcher: I just find these really fun and kind of toyetic in the right ways for me. Sunglasslasher is not here mostly because it's not as cool as the other ones, and also always looked out of place for any form that wasn't Boost.

The Rousers from Blade: I just love how these things look, and the function with the card scanning is great.

Special Mention:
Feet: Truly the deadliest weapon in all of kamen rider
