They really wanna put out all their Zero-One SHFs as fast as they could, don't they? It's all good since we're the ones benefitting from it, and we're few bit more steps closer to Zero Two.

I'm really gonna buy up a good amount of Zero-One SHFs, aren't I?

So conflicted. I know by the time this arrives, I'll pretty much be over Zero-One, but it's kinda the first nonbinary Rider and kinda one of the few female (actress) Riders to not be saddled with a hyperfeminine suit. Plus, plus, tertiary Rider with a nifty suit. I shouldn't preorder this, but maaaan...

I need this so bad!!

Okay I've been wondering for a while if I should jump through the hoops to get my first Kamen Rider figure, and I think Naki might be what pushes me over. They're just so cool, both as a character (even though the story didn't use them to their full potential, but then, that's true for most everything in Zero-One) and as a design!

Did Akira(?), Shuki, Marika, and pink Necrom not count?

Anyway, I just hope she hovers around the 6000 yen mark. It won't make much sense to be around the 7k mark with how little she'd come with.

The single-jointed knees are interesting. I assume the suit design forced their hands here, as the "kneepads" on the suit are more like thigh pads anyhow, the knees are below them.

If anything I think this is just further confirmation that they want to get Naki's body type and proportions right. They did a great job scaling and modeling Valkyrie to Vulcan so I have no worries that Naki will look great next to the other Metsubojinrai Riders.

Probably because both the character and actor are non-binary.

It's actually still double-jointed. Most of the figure is a complete reuse of the 001 mold which is a "retry" at the Night Rogue undersuit.

In terms of proportions, it might just be me, but the suit looks a bit thinner and more sleek than how it is in the show.

That's a relief. I didn’t realize it could use similar articulation to 001.

I heavily doubt it's a reuse of the 001 mold. The suit obviously shares parts, but the figure seems to be the same situation as Valkyrie: The suit is very similar to Vulcan, yet the physical build of the users is different so they can't reuse the entire body.

I don’t think we have pictures of SHF Naki standing right next to someone else, but it’s easy enough to grab pictures from Tamashii Nations 2020 and level the field a bit. If this is accurate then not only is the scale pretty good, but also it's impossible for this figure to use the 001 mold as 001 is much taller.

The proportions look rather accurate to me, not too tall or too thin.

Aight. Then I think the legs, forearms, and crotch are taken from 001.

Also, that pic of Ikazuchi is so cool, since it makes him look so daunting and powerful. Almost makes me want to maybe skip Naki and grab him instead, especially since I prefer him more.

Hard to tell IMO whether it's a literal case of parts re-use, but if not I figure the shared parts are just downscaled & edited so likely share the same knee engineering.
Naki was a hugely important character and a personal fave which makes me really wanna get them, but I'd feel obliged to dive back into the figuarts rabbithole which for the sake of my wallet I've been out of for a good while! Not even sure I could get away with just "limiting myself to a few favourites", as I don't imagine either Orthros Vulcan or Lightning Hornet will be a thing anytime soon...

lightning hornet is impossible since they almost never do alternate base forms now. othorus vulcan has a chance maybe but you won't see him anytime soon. its almost a pure repaint so you could probably get an assault vulcan and do it yourself. shf upgrade I think are even selling claws since a lot of people are making customs of that. at best for valkyrie we will see her raidriser form nothing more.

Orthorus is almost definitely happening given it's an easy repaint.

Lightning Hornet under normal circumstances I don't think would ever happen... but later in the run it seemed to almost get used as a pseudo Final Form for Valkyrie; so between that, its popularity and Valkyrie having no other forms (barring a possible V-cin one), I think it has a slight chance. An extremely slight one though, I'll still be very surprised if it happens.

Valkyrie is the first and only female Rider so far to have more than one form so who knows but then again they made her standard form a web exclusive I doubt they'd release another form change of hers that isn't THE final form.

I don't know how well her merchandise or character did for Japanese audiences because that tends to play a part in non-main riders taking priority like Dan Kuruto and Banjo or Kamen Rider Grease.

I'm a little worried if they have given up on female riders again since there hasn't been one revealed on Kamen Rider Saber yet but also despite the huge main cast that they couldn't feature another main female rider again...

Regardless if Saber will have one or not, not having one doesn't really mean that Toei had given up on female riders again. Now, I don't know how well Valkyrie was received, but I do know that another character, Izu, was well received, to the point of having able to transform herself as well. Dunno if Azu transforming in Ark 01 would count as well.

And besides, with this large of an ensemble of riders, there's a good chance for there to be a female rider. Movie or show. Ryuki, Hibiki, Gaim, and Ex-Aid being examples.

We're use to seeing female riders now making appearances either late in-show or movies but I was and am still hoping to see female riders as part of the main group like Valkyrie...although her character got sidelined and wasn't used properly imo.

I do like that Kamen Rider Tsukuyomi continues to make appearances in v-cinemas and hope we get a figuarts of her someday especially considering so far she's the only female rider to not have one
