Oh, is SHT airing early? |
Not that I know of |
Because it's Christmas tomorrow, dude's just putting there beforehand. |

I feel bad for Aguilera. So does Sakura. I hope she’ll find a way to help her. Next episode, Julio must’ve went to look for her for help. |
welp with revice's strong family motif/theme it has going on, it would only make sense for giff to be connected to the igarashi family. it definitely takes the whole "using the power of evil for good" to a different level |
Ikki's father didn't have heart? Maybe his heart currently inside Gifu monolith? Maybe Ikki's father is a former Deadman member. I remember about human sacrifice in Aztec culture. The creepy thing from Aztec Culture is about taking human heart from body. |
Even the title is like, "Who's Vice?" At least Yukimi tries to cheer for him when prompted, even if it lacks the same spirit she gave to the other Riders. Maybe his twitter fans will compensate for that. #NiceVice This is surprisingly a very good episode for Yukimi, who proves once and for all that she is also an extremely indispensable character and not just someone to be killed off for cheap drama, as she plays an important part in defeating the Chameleon Deadman by acting as bait. Now she's onboard with her kids fighting as Riders after Hiromi advocated for them. She always wanted to support them, but her parental worry was holding her back. After overcoming that, she shows that she's clearly their biggest fan! She's often been the voice of reason for the Igarashis, so it's nice to see her get her own development. Chameleon's true identity is revealed! .... It's not someone portrayed by Kiyama Yukiaki. It's not anybody important! It sounded like he hated his face for secret backstory reasons, but nope, he just has this selfish ugly duckling perception of himself which makes him seem like a very shallow guy. Ikki and Daiji discuss who should carry the burden of killing Giftex. Ikki volunteers himself, cause of course the ultimate busybody would do that. But Daiji reminds him as a Fenix captain that this is his job which he signed up for and therefore is willing to bloody his hands if necessary. Ikki respects his decision, showing how he truly believes in Daiji now. They agree to share it between them so they can protect Sakura's innocence, since she's merely a high school girl. Olteca confirms that their deception wasn't limited to Aguilera, as making her Deadmans' idol instead of keeping her against her will was a marketing tactic to gather cultists. Out of the five Giftex, Julio was the only one willing to sacrifice himself for the lie they told him, that he was serving Aguilera. He doesn't care about Deadmans or Gif, his loyalty is exclusively to her. He definitely doesn't want anything bad to happen to her, but Aguilera is still holding on to her position as a vessel for Gif, since the alternative is admitting the painful truth that her life was a lie. Julio has already accepted that, cause he still has Aguilera for whom he will continue to give his life. It's very tragic, how these two ended up here. Quote:
BTW, Blade Fang, Yukimi survived Christmas. I told you so! :D Hiromi on the other hand.... He just got a promotion. He's collecting those death flags like George collects KR merchandise. |

I like the unimportant shapeshifter who disguises himself as people that actually matter concept. |

We sure are ramping up actual dead characters this season, which is generally not done outside of extra movies (( depression Zero One )). Will be interesting if they keep that going or if they are gonna throw the aspect away, an actual drawback to being a deadman is good to have at least, and not just rider kick happy aftermath. For now it is only Giftex that seem to be in trouble, I wonder if it will escelate to anyone becoming a rank 2 contract holder eventually, some general public deadmans would be lovely to see die due to their choices story wise, though that might be a bit to dark, I get villains getting a flat out death, a random person tricked into the act would be another story. The holiday episodes did actually give us a twist at least, without a doubt, the big question as others have already mentioned here, is he the ACTUAL Giff or not ? Quite interesting that is for sure, and oh god damn will it be a very VERY painful battle if it ends up being true. |
I'm getting Devil May Cry vibes from that twist, that is if it heads into that direction. |
This show is piling on the mysteries. I'm quite curious as to where things will go. Shame Chameleon is dead already. |

There was a lot to enjoy here! I'm really intrigued by the divide among the villains, with Aguilera and Julio going off on their own. I wouldn't be surprised if Sakura ends up being able to reach out to her in the end and get her some kind of redepmtion, but Julio has some strong "death by heroic sacrifice" vibes. The main plot with the protagonists resolving to fight the remaining Deadmans and convincing their mother that they are still needed was nice, and I was quite surprised to see the Chameleon Giftex actually die! Meanwhile, mysteries are building up, with their dad lacking an actual, literal heart and the mysterious basement room Sakura found at the end of the episode. I honestly wish I could watch the episode for next week now. |

If you've played Devil May Cry, you'll know what I'm talking about. |
I sure know what you're talking about and it's what's bugging me. If we all recall, George already has shown some interest in Genta... Perhaps he isn't the goofball we think he is. Or...the heart in the Giff statue is a red herring. |

Would be shocking to see their dad an antagonist though. |

Wonder what the Ushijima family is hiding? Will we witness the birth of a new rider in Revice? Perhaps we could see a rider who's angelic but uses Vistamps too. Inner demons vs inner angels. |
Hmm maybe ushijima family is the one that give Sakura libera driver? As for the motive TBH i can't really think any of it |
I'll just leave it here: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FHruan2a...jpg&name=large This is from the Revice Super Battle DVD, so it has nothing to do with the plot of the show itself, but who knows. |
Isn't, uh, Sakura still in school...? |
So, the last episode for the Arc 1 in Revice, before moving on to Arc 2. With a cliffhanger ending regarding Hikaru and the Ushujimas. Though dunno what'd happen later and that I can't guess (easy guess is yeah, Aguilera and Julio being redeemed), I approve that despite the hardships that the Deadmans face, doesn't mean that Aguilera and Julio are instantly won over by the Igarashis/Fenix (well, Sakura sorta to Aguilera but for different reason, and planned to use her for sacrifice anyway), as obviously their aims aren't about their safety, but about Aguilera wanting to become one with Giff and Julio wanting to please Aguilera by any means, and the Fenix's actions are quite... hindering to their goals (Julio's interwinding with Aguilera). Not to mention, what Julio does here only gives Aguilera hope to continue her original goal, with her outfit is fine and that'd mean so does Giff. She'd continue her villainous schemes, only without Olteca. So does Julio then if he had utter loyalty to Aguilera, revealed due to her saving him in the past. Dunno how long in the past, or even if Aguilera's probably not-so-evil at the time she saved Julio (likely her redemption key), even in present time Aguilera throws tantrums to Julio like a bitchy teenager, using him as punching bag of which Julio would endure with his loyalty to her. So unlike characters such as Baruba or Kai, Aguilera does reveal her Deadman form in Queen Bee Deadman here. Not really shown on how powerful she is, as everyone's on the defensive, though she does have AoE attack, but Barid Rex can block that. Olteca reveals his goal of just ruling the world so far, and admitting that Aguilera's just his puppet queen, as he does to Vice. Chameleon Deadman dies quicker than I expected, just like Amahiko before, with him being revealed as the impossibru guy... so he's not actually unremarkable... he's remarkable as meme icon... depends if Revice had memes similar to irl ones (I mean they have KR shows). "Impossible!" is also a stock villain remark upon defeat, but ironically it's not used here to focus on his insecurity more. About Ikki saving Aguilera, it's explored further here that he felt burden that he can only kill Giftex like Kudo and Amahiko, without finding a way to separate the demons from their bodies, so he's the type to show sympathy for villains (like many of other main Riders) and would prefer to not use drastic solution, and he tried that too against Chameleon Deadman here, to no avail. Cool move from him to see through Chameleon taking Yukimi's form and block her literal backstabbing with the tissue. There's a nice fighting move of Revi in his Eagle ability to not brute forcing his way, but using Eagle's vision to track down Chameleon Deadman. While Daiji is a bit more pragmatic here that he'd resort to ending threats like Giftex albeit he'd still shoulder the burden too like what he signed up for as a hardened soldier, instead of someone who relishes at using the 'brutal necessary' solution, so Daiji would still be a mostly safe guardian to be around (aside from Kagerou) compared to a good number of other secondary Riders. Now Sakura had another thing to be protected of which is her innocence, of which dunno if she'd approve of that or not, but I hope it can be a good lesson for her or audience to learn further about the burden of killing others. While Sakura does declare altruistic motivation to fight alongside others; making sure everyone is at peace, on the other hand she goes overboard on Genta that she just harshly takes her Driver from him despite that he practically helped her against Yukimi's overprotective nature, kinda gets on my nerves there. To me Yukimi's overprotective nature that is even worse than Ikki is kind of annoying, though primarily due to how she doesn't extend that to Ikki and Daiji too, seems lowkey sexist. At least it's revealed here that Yukimi thought Deadmans are temporary that got her to be overprotective to Sakura, still doesn't explain how she views female sex as less to males to be only overprotective to Sakura. Hiromi finally clears this up by explaining about how the Deadman situation really is and that the world needs Igarashi siblings' protection more than them needing protection from Yukimi. Probably it's some poetic justice for her that instead of her children, she's the one had to be guarded by Fenix going anywhere here. Other than her previous overprotectiveness, I do like that they try to give some effort and touches in her cheerleading role, with her treating Vice differently, likely due to him trying to eating her or such, or her high energy actually harming Lovekov by accident, that she had to be restrained by Fenix soldier. Shigeyuki Totsugi claimed that there are big secrets within Genta, and I guess this is the start of his big reveal in the series as George notes that Genta has no heart (literally, the body organ) in his x-ray scans. As others have talked, there's already speculations about Giff being potentially Genta's demon. At the very least within KR, this gives me about certain spoiler-y element from Build. Dunno if Genta and Giff are separate with Genta trying to suppress it (and probably causing more hatred against Genta.. like certain other media), or if Genta is one of Giff's plans, his disguise as outwardly goofy and useless man to lower anyone's guard. But if Giff is absolutely evil too then the lack of heart scenario here has double meaning here. So far this episode seems to portray George at his most wholesome, just applauding the Fenix members and the Igarashi's work, and also taking care of Hiromi who once again is promoted as Commander. I guess Hiromi has no mistakes or blunders anymore so far and that's likely lowkey his development. Still though there's his smirk as Hiromi leaves. Quote:

She feels she's the only one to save her soul, even if it means having to fight her. Think of their rivalry almost like Ex-Aid & Para-DX. Jeanne's gonna have to teach Aguilera her a harsh lesson sooner or later. And who knows? Aguilera may provide the key to Jeanne's possible future form. |

I have never heard of the impossibru thing, so not a reference I would ever get. It's still a meta reference and he's still nobody in universe. |

And the Chameleon is his original. But this is the case with all meta-references: not everyone will understand and will appreciate it even less. |

Hey! I finally caught up! So glad Dramacool finally uploaded the episodes and I've recovered from last week, this calls for... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6A0G0Md0rKg Anyway, episode 13: great to see Evil appear again, Hiromi being an absolute Chad protecting Rabukof from the Juniors with only a luggage bag, and Barid Rex's debut. Yes, they're throwing everything at us in the first quarter, but it still had a great debut (and looks fantastic to boot!), and I love the reason they gave for Vice's lack of an upgrade, prompting him to make a shield, which I find adorable how he shows it off like "Look what I made!" Never thought I'd actually miss Vice after all these dead weeks for me. Episode 14: I kind of knew where this was going after Chameleon appeared, but it was still wild seeing the Commander absolutely lose it, and seeing how the Hiromi joke about him being a crybaby was almost accurate (nothing against Hiromi, Best Bro), and some great Vice moments too. Nice to see the Heroes and Villains being smart this season, and Sakura (Turtle Bazooka best weapon) getting to absolutely destroy that guy. Episode 15: Well, like Zero-One, we infiltrated the bad guys party house (UFO) and take out a few of the Gifex. It really was a good day for a red wedding. Barid Rex's fight against the Deadmans base was a lot of fun seeing all the Remixes take flight and destroy it. The Present: You know, I actually like how Olteca's being handled, even if it's the old The Calm And Sophisticated Bad Guy Always Has The Big Plot routine, using Aguilera (who's Queen Bee form looks funny to me) as a poster child to bring people into the Deadmans is a pretty smart move (who wouldn't join an evil cult of undead Mexican body horror freaks for a dame?), I don't know, I kind of enjoy how much of a scumbag he is. And once more, the heroes manage to outwit the villains and take out not-commander, who turns out to be a wimp, and Rabukof being beaten up by Mama-San, and Vice trying to show off were hilarious. The Siblings have a great dynamic, and I'm looking forward to how things progress. And George's Engrish is something special. Hiromi's the captain now, Aguilera and Julio are living in the streets, Olteca's scheming on rooftops, and something's up with Papa-San, who's probably Gifu just like some people were speculating, especially if he's missing a heart and the stone idol of Gifu has a heartbeat. The question now is, when did Papa-San get got? Next Episode: Vice finally get's an upgrade- *Revi Volcanic Rex* How many upgrades are we going to have this time? Oh well, into the matrix! |

So, neat Easter egg I realized during this episode: the Turtle stamp gives Sakura a bazooka. I have no idea which Rider that stamp is supposed to be, but there was a monster in V3 that was literally named “Turtle Bazooka.” Like Hiromi’s Amazon colored mole drill, there’s no way this was a coincidence. |

So, this screenshot, was actually for episode 16 but for whatever reason was cut. That either makes me mad or we're probably getting it in some sort of Kamen Rider Demons mini series like ROGUE or the Saber Swordsmen Chronicles. https://i.imgur.com/4xYCOOk.jpg |

How often do you think Demon's will show up considering Hiromi's promotion to commander. |
