You never guess what I learned about the Rolling Vistamp! Today, I got my copy of Thunder Gale and when I was doing the Lightning Tornado function with Rolling, I got instead the Painting Finish! Apparently you can do that with the thing that has QR Code!

I FINALLY found a HGUC Zeta Gundam kit today after searching for one for months. So that's cool.

@Topic: We had a deal Nintendo. You release Metroid Prime 4; I buy the console it releases on. You altered the offering, but given that I like 2D Metroid better anyhow I chose to honor my promise. Also the Switch has a pretty darn good library of games on it now.

Plus, even though I am still not the type of person who would ever play in handheld mode - I figured my roommate can use it. She's more of a casual gamer but she knows Nintendo, and I figured she might get a real kick out of Animal Crossing. It's my console, her Gameboy. Win-win.

I've had Mercury for years already because Of Course, wound up getting Jupiter and Mars a while back, and finally decided to just complete the set since they were doing a reissue. Shame there's no Outers but oh well.

It's been fun going back and reacquiring the Gaim stuff, I'm reminded of just how great the designs are. Just missing the Nut Bros and Cherry Bastard now, not counting upgrades/alternates... or Kiwami Arms, which I'll probably just have to wait on the Seihou given the aftermarket.

I am LOVING the DHL shipping from AmiAmi (I almost always buy 3-5 figures at a time to ease my $$ pain) I have been getting my shipments in 2-3 days, awaiting another one today?. which means I might have to buy something tomorrow ;)

DHL was also cheaper than EMS, which would have taken longer. So that was cool, lol.

If you're looking to get into modelling, these Eva-Frame kits are the perfect introduction, imo. They're super simple to build.

my R/B set came without the sleeve that matches the rest and now I'm just rather angry.

With the acquisition of the Kajiki Vistamp, I have only the Spider, Kangaroo, and the Condor Vistamp left. Then I will be caught up with Revice. But boy is that Revice keychain bigger that I imagine.

What do you all think are the rarest retail release DX belts from Heisei era?

Unless I'm forgetting anything exceptional it definitely seems to get harder the earlier you go. Blade and Faiz are always pretty expensive, and then Agito and Kuuga are both even MORE expensive and almost consistently show up with a variety of breakage issues

Just doing some basic browsing on Yahoo auctions, Hibiki is very hard to find and Kabuto fetches some of the highest prices. Kuuga and Agito definitely have the worst conditions, especially because they used thin plastic for the belt parts (which also returned in Hibiki).

I'm interested to see how prices will fluctuate going forward. The Legend Henshin line does a good job offering new versions of older belts. And the Super Best version of belts did well to keep prices down. But something like the Fourze Driver being too expensive to ever re-release makes me think it will become rare.

Drive seems to have the most issues/faulty parts of the phase 2 belts.

Legend Henshin definitely excited me as far as Phase 1 is concerned due to their (mostly) simpler belts. Ryuki and Hibiki are so simple that it's hard to see how a budget version would do less, and others like Blade and Agito they'd easily get close enough that it would be difficult to be disappointed. To say nothing of Showa belts

The faiz legend henshin belt, although quite simplified, is not a slacker either. It hit all the right notes look wise and sound wise, sure its a bit small and lacking paint, but still a pretty great stand in for $25-30 usd. I just wish they'd release a kaixa remold like the old legend henshin line did. I don't think they've rereleased or updated that belt since the first iteration of legend henshin, i dont see much info on it online either. At this point its like it never existed for the most part. It'd be nice if we still got It tho.

I recently acquired a non-functioning OOOs driver. As predicted, it died due to battery corrosion.

I was able to restore most functionality, but because of the layout of the scanner's internals, the corrosion got to one of the LEDs that light up with each coin scan. So everything works fine but the 3rd light won't light up.

Not bad overall. I'm always impressed whenever I open up a Bandai electronic toy. The DX toys are designed to take a beating and there's actually lot of painting effort on most of them.

Also if Bandai ever makes a Legend Henshin OOOs driver, I bet it will be a dummy belt that uses a nub on the lower rail to tick a button on the bottom of the scanner to play a pre-loaded sound effect.

Nice! Reminds me I need to find a replacement for one of my Hibiki drumsticks and for the strap he holds disc animals on. (I have two drumsticks but they're both the same one and I know the belt is supposed to have two different ones.)

Bring Arts Young Nier: Bring Arts' QC seems to be getting better, as I haven't had any real issues with the past few figures I've gotten from Square-Enix. That said, while the sculpt on this guy is spot on, the articulation leaves a bit to be desired. His handyman apron being a rubber overlay means he can't crunch very well, and his ankle movement might as well not exist for how little range it gets.

McFarlane Toys Dark Redeemer: A simple remold of the original Redeemer figure, this has all the same problems that that one did. I like it well enough, but there's no doubt certain elements of the base could've been handled way better.

Turtle Rangers! Wanted Shredder to be included in this batch, but then my pre-order got delayed and well, these had to ship. They're fun enough figures, and I'm so glad w got these out of a really fun crossover in the comics.

Shadow Stormtrooper, Luke Skywalker (Stormtrooper disguise), & Incinerator Trooper Nice bundle from eBay. Love this head sculpt on the Luke figure. Not a fan of the style hips they used on the troopers, but after some fiddling around I'm happy with the results
