I like this upgrade form better than the Hurricanger one even though I understand the theme behind both

Wow two years for the blu ray and few months earlier for the movie in theater. They manage to convince yellow to come out of her retirement like gokaipink actress. She didn’t even appear in the gobuster Dino movie. The upgrade form is simple and colorful. On the other hand, Hurricane red upgrade made sense given what he’s base on. Looks like lion maru, but it looks more fun, so they might retcon new shurikenger.

WOW. This was completely unexpected. So happy to see the whole gang back together again.

On one hand, every anniversary movie I've ever watched has been mediocre at best.

On the other hand, this is Abaranger! They can't screw this up.

As mentioned by VoidinToku, it's surprising how Ito came out of her retirement for this. Doctor Nakadai is back from his reign over Hell again, not sure if it's permanent this time or merely a vacation. And Asuka's and Mahoro's daughter would be an adult now, so I wonder if someone will get cast to portray her. Is Yatsudenwani going to appear since becoming Suke's successor to Dino Curry? Lots of intriguing speculation here.

We already got a Dekaranger anniversary 7 years ago, followed by Space Squad VS and Girls in Trouble.

Personally, I'm disappointed there's no news about a Gobusters anniversary, considering how the actors basically live in Toei's pocket.

Very curious to see the price for the memorial changer... I don't normally buy sentai changers, but I've always loved this one tbh

The main cast is still active, but the supporting and voice casts are an issue.

- Keiji Fujiwara, Cheeda Nick's VA, passed away.
- Tatsuhisa Suzuki, Usada Lettuce's VA, had the controversy last year from cheating on LiSA, so his return is unlikely.
- Hideo Sakaki, Commander Takeshi's actor, was accused by multiple women of sexual abuse and admitted to his crimes.

There's also the fact that Go-Busters was seen by Toei and Bandai as a complete failure. That alone would probably make them hesitant to green-light an anniversary special.

I guess you're right. The Buddyroids were a big part of all the emotional scenes, so it wouldn't feel right without Nick and Usada and any replacement VAs would have to live up to high standards. I didn't know that information about Kurorin's actor though, that sucks.

Well, DAMN! What legal reprecussions did Sakaki face?

Outside of his wife divorcing him. There dosen't seem to be much. Tho this did happen just last year so any more legal reprecussions are still out the window.

I'm watching the main 2003 series Via Shout Factory release. I did see Deka 10 Years After on stream.

Weird there was a news article about him saving a woman before from some guy. Magiranger should get a 20th if this is a trend. Kyoryuger might get pink back like abayellow next year since the show is a massive success.

Surprise announcement... and it technically has less to do with the 20th Anniversary, but with Kyoryuger VS. Go-Busters! May seem out of place, but it's an announcement which kinda-sorta ties into Abaranger's 20th Anniversary Celebration.

Ito did actually reprise her role of AbareYellow alongside her Red and Blue cast-mates. She just declined accreditation and had personal reasons for not appearing in person.

Fujiwara who most likely reprised his role as Dan from Zyuranger had somewhat of a similar situation. In his case, I believe it's because he was still working as one of the managers for SMAP at the time before they broke up and Johnny's supposedly has weird strict policies about their employees and entertainers making public appearances so he was uncredited as well.
