Marvel Cinematic Universe movies up to Black Widow

Got the Dx King Stone belt from KR Black, lot of fun. Love the voice activation. Also got the Vital Brace and Zero-one VBM cards.

I got in the shawscope vol 2 set, Changerion from Sen-Ti-Nel and I finally bit the bullet and got a Build Hazard form. I already had a metal build, but I like the heads on Hazard form so much more.

Changerion is great. It?s kind of nice to have a non-SHF tokusatsu figure in a close to SHF scale. I found out that the same actor who played Kamen Rider Ouja played Changerion too, so I kind of had to track him down.

Looking forward to Shawscope vol 2. It?s nice to have these films without the goofy English dubs, also Vol 1 was an absolute blast to watch. Some hilarious stuff in there, and amazing action too.

I can recommend giving the show a try, it's bullshit dumb and funny.

By the way, I'm surprised that Toei didn't make Changerion a Metal Hero. It seems to me that he would have looked quite organically in this franchise, where even Jiraiya found a place.

I’ll definitely check out the two eps Toei posted on their youtube channel. And yeah, my man Changerion totally looks like a Metal Hero too. I’m sure some executive understands why the show was not marketed under the metal hero brand. There’s a pie chart with data that explains everything deep in a Toei crypt.

It's probably because SEGA funded the series (hence the video game-esque "Shining Attack" finisher and random CDs used as power-ups for the gun and claw) so they wanted a brand name they could own.

I got in Kamen Rider Black Sun and Ultraman Decker.

Black Sun is fantastic! Dare I say: best SHF of the year?! Certainly for Kamen Rider at least.

The box for Black Sun is like Shin Ultraman, the front of the box is a picture and the back is a little window for the figure to peek out from.

Grabbed the Phantom Ranger at half price in FP during an attempt at Christmas Shopping today! Had been considering him at full price a while back, so this was a lucky break. Almost enough to not get you down at how the PR section is down to nothing, although they did have Figure-rise Kuuga Pegasus in the Gundam section.

Does anyone know of any good places for toku stuff in the LA area? Maybe a market with candy toys or gashapon?

Go to Little Tokyo. There's an entire Gundam/Toku store at Anime Jungle, full of Ultraman, Godzilla, Kamen Rider, Sentai, etc.

There's also:
- a Kaiju...well, I'm not sure if it's a store or a figure museum, but it's pretty cool on 1st st.
- Marukai Market has an aisle full of candy toys - including Sho-do and minipla.

Throughout the city and the surrounding areas, there's a ton of other Japanese grocers which may or may not have candy toys (I've only been to LT Marukai, as it's close to work), and random anime shops that usually don't have toku stuff but you never know.

You gonna be in town or something?

Oh! I have been meaning to check out the Urobuchi Thunderbolts show. I heard about it when it was first airing and was extremely interested, but I never watched it.

Also I have seen some stuff from that Kuuga manga. Looks wild! Inoue just goes feral in those manga/novel adaptations, haha.

It's excellent. Also mind-blowing to watch because of the puppetry, it's unlike anything I had seen up until then, although I realize it was a genre before.

There's a scene in the second to last episode of the first season that's up there in my favorite Toku moments of all time. It's amazing. Definitely recommended!

I certainly did not expect Ichijo kissing a convict who just bit off his tongue on the mouth in order to stop him from choking on it, among other things. "Wild" describes it pretty well. Especially since said convict was arrested for blowing up pretty ladies by stuffing fireworks into them.

It does hit some spot though, can't lie. When it goes Kuuga it rules.

Once I catch up MCU Phaae 1- 3 I'll buy Phase 4 movies so that will be January to buy those that I don't own . The 24 pack will get me up to date for any movies missed in MCU. Will get singles later. Phase 4 I own Black Widow and No Way Home.

My small haul from Little Tokyo. Navigating the public transit system of LA was.... something else. Jungle was great with a big selection and totally reasonable prices. I didn't find many candy toys at Murakai Market, but managed to find one of the most rare Gundam Converge figures sitting at the bottom of a shelf at a blind box specialty store.

Obvious highlight is the Ultra Noodle Ultraman Zero toy which I've been eyeing on the Jungle website for years. Only $14!

Not exactly Toku, but between this, the Power Rangers, Star Wars and Marvel helmets out there, I really wish Bandai would make a series of Rider helmets.

I love it. It's even better than I expected. This is now my favorite model kit I own, followed by SMP Gunbuster Alternative Destiny (Gunbuster is a nicer kit, but I just love the Megazord/Daizyujin design)

Hahahaha yeah the public transit system here is...something. It's a shame to hear that Marukai didn't have much in the way of candy toys. I guess they haven't restocked in a while.

I bit the bullet and ordered the Yu-Do sets for Don Brothers. It was hours of horrible sweaty labor to get those stickers on these things, but I got em on!

They are very nice! I also avoided the issue where they put the legs on wrong. I have seen a couple youtube reviewers bring that up with these.

Star Trek is the last main line movie set to upgrade from VHS.

A company in the great state of Hawaii is allowed to legally distribute an english translation of Kamen Rider V3, and I picked up the dvd.

If any of you guys are interested, and are in America, or have an American dvd player, this is a pretty nice set actually.

Oh yeah, you can buy this on amazon. It’s kind of expensive, but it’s a small company that did this, so I don’t feel too bad about the price.
