MKP (Mobile Knight Police) Project
 

An X account under the monthly Japanese tokusatsu-centric hobby magazine Uchusen has posted a picture of what might be new tokusatsu-related content by Metal Hero alumnis Masaru Yamashita and Koichi Nakayama of Winspector and Solbrain fame. Here's a rough translation of the original post.

"A new project titled 'MKP'* by Mr. Masaru Yamashita and Mr. Koichi Nakayama's M&K Project along with C.A.T., which helped produce the sofubi for 'Z-END,'** begins!!?

Further information will be available in 'Uchusen vol.191,' on sale December 27th......!!"

* This looks to be a pet project by Yamashita, Nakayama, and C.A.T. (https://www.c-a-tokyo.com/). I hope this ends up being something on par with Masahiro Inoue's Jisariz.
** Z-END is a tokusastu hero manga by Kenichi Muraeda, the creator of the Kamen Rider Spirits manga.

A pet project, huh. So this isn't related to the new show replacing Sentai on TV Asahi? Either way, more Metal Hero content is good!

Looks like it. If it ends up being something small in scope though, I reckon they'd make a scale-sized figure and do a photo novel series like the old SIC Hero Saga stuff that used to be published monthly in one of the hobby magazines in Japan. I guess we'll find out after Christmas this year since the magazine releases two days after.
I don't expect a full-on show at the moment like Jisariz for now, but if they go big, I hope it's at least something like a photo novel series with live action photos of the suit in action to help the readers imagine the narrative a little better. The best case scenario of course would be a show or movie of some kind. :lolol

Cute. But I personally get more of a B-fighter and even the KR Kabuto Armor formvibe from the suit.

The horn-looking thing on top definitely gives off that vibe, and it's likely the armor is red. It does give off B-Fighter vibes, like you said, and to an extent, Kabutack, I think. It's like they're incorporating as much 90s metal hero elements as possible.

New image of Mobile Knight Police revealed. The red one is K-90, blue one is K-91. I'm sure y'all have a clue who's wearing what by now. :lolol

Screening and talk show will be held at April 5th, 2026 in Tokyo, Japan.

Kind of gives me Kabuto/Gatack vibes.

Can't blame ya with the antannaes resembling beetle horns and all. That said, love how the helmets are paying tribute to Fire/Knight Fire and Sol Braver.

I'm personally hoping it's a shorter series, like 12 episodes or such. Sometimes I want to watch less toku than a 50-episode series, but more than a movie.

Yeah, kinda like Jisariz. Heck, it would be amazing if they crowd-funded this and created a short web drama series. Villains for the majority of it don't need to be in fiberglass suits and helmets like them, I think, if budget is tight. Maybe for the final boss, at least.
