D-Arts War Greymon is tempting me.
As you know, they've re-released War Greymon in the D-Arts Line because the original release was floppier than Generations Rhinox's knees.
I'm tempted to grab one. I loved the original Digimon, and always thought it was superior (in terms of a cartoon and story) to Pokemon. Talk me out of it. |
Buy one for me instead? :p

It doesn't represent this in show model and it uses a very metallic design instead of a matte color scheme which would better match it's look.
The claws are overly long and get in the way, and based on pictures online, it's naturally drawn to bent knee poses. |

I have Dukemon and he's amazing and Beelzebumon and he's OK, so I think the Digimon D-Arts might be a mixed bag. I'm also tempted by Wargreymon, but Tamers is by far a worthier series and I hate the teeny-tiny Gaia Force. It should be HUGE. Also if I got Wargreymon I'd need MetalGarurumon to go with him because unlike Dukemon neither character are epic enough to stand alone. Also, except for Dukemon and Beelzebumon, there's something not quite right about the Digimon D-arts that makes them look weird, but I can't put my finger on it.
If you need a Digimon D-Arts go for Dukemon, he's actually fantastic and one of my favourite "Arts" toys ever. He's big, he looks epic no matter how you pose him and he comes with a pretty good stand too and he can be bought for extremely good prices. Omegamon is apparently pretty good too, but... That price... |

Dukemon is amazing.
Omegamon is...Different. He's nice, but his torso isn't the best and the chrome on his sword can chip easily (I've only had it happen on the plug that goes into the WarGreymon mouth...Seriously, why would they chrome that peg?), but Omegamon is alright. Being apparently one of three to own it, I'd say hold off on getting one until it's price drops. But Dukemon goes above and beyond (Outside of his head frill thing. It should've been fabric or something, because mine is heavier than his neck joint. It doesn't make him stare to the sky, but I have to force it so he can look downwards). Oh, Wargreymon is nice, though. Quote:

Honestly I have no clue why people bash the figure so much. I bought the normal version and I love it. Looks brilliant next to Metalgarurumon and Omegamon/Omnimon.
But you said talk you out of it. If you have no plans on trying to get Metalgarurumon or Omegamon/Omnimon, you may not want to bother. I would've sold my Wargreymon if I couldn't get Metalgarurumon. But given that Metalgarurumon goes for $100 and Omega/Omni goes for $300 sometimes, you may want to rethink Wargreymon. |
