What next for Power Rangers?
 

So, assuming Dino Charge continues the current seasonal pattern, this newly announced show concept will carry PR through 2016- which is when Saban's broadcast contract with Nick supposedly runs out.

Now the obvious choice is for them to just re-sign with another revised deal but worst-case scenario: what if Nick doesn't want the show anymore?

Where else could Power Rangers go? Saban's Vortexx isn't really a big enough draw for new episodes I think. The Hub's a direct competitor so they're right out. And nobody can count on Cartoon Network anymore.


So what are your thoughts? What should happen next??

My hope is Vortexx. Or they do a deal with The Hub, but Hub is Hasbro. The best option for them is either Cartoon Network or Vortexx.

I can see it going to either CN or the Hub.

If Nick doesn't want it it'll go to Vortexx.

The only way is for saban brand to talk with Disney ask if they can air power ranger on XD again but form a contract so saban keep right to the show Disney just airs it

The Hub might be a good option. Even though it's Hasbro, I don't see them turning down the ratings.

Or just let Saban Brands become a subsidiary of Disney. This would permit Saban to keep his brainchild (note: unrelated to Brainchild) while giving him access to Disney's unlimited McDuck Vaults and excellent writers and producers from the Disney era.

Pipedreaming yes, but still an option that theoretically could happen.

I don't see this happening. Not in the slightest. Saban is like that one guy everyone knows who is super possesive of everything. He's hardly going to get it out from under Disney only to sign over even a tiny part like distribution over to them. Disney would love that. They'd want to use it as leaverage surely.

(That's forgetting what Disneys writers and production teams could do for the show, but whatever ...)

Vortexx, perhaps? CN could work, because when have their problems ever stopped anyone from trying to make money by keeping a franchise on the air.

The most likely answer to this question is that they'll just re-sign with Nick. It all depends on whether Saban really is pissed off with 20ep seasons or not.

The Hub would be nice. That way I could wash down the taste of terrible, underpaid acting with the nice helping of ponies~

Granted, that'd never happen. Saban would be more privy to buy his own damn channel before that happened :lol
