The Tokunation Bookclub
 

Greetings tokunites! What started off as a joke has turned into a real thing. That thing being a bookclub for the site. What's a bookclub you ask? Well it's where old women get drunk off their asses and...okay, I lied, that's not fully what a bookclub is (it's only like 75%). No, a bookclub is where a group of people pick a book that they then all read for a month and after that month gather to discuss the book they just read and pick out a new one. So that's what we're bringing to this shingdig of a site!

So how will this all work? Well pretty much as I described. Each month a member of the club will suggest a book and whatever one gets the most votes is what we'll read. We'll then read it for a month and at the end of that, discuss it. Rinse and repeat.

Now as per slightly usually we should have some rules. I ask that we all do not suggest any book that is pornographic. Also only fiction books are legible to be nominated and voted for. Much like how the the Sceret Santa works you can nominate books that may have violence and even some sexuality to them, just don't pick books that overdo it (i.e. books such as Fifty Shades of Grey or feature nonstop graphic violence). As for the discussion just be respectful of other people's opinions and follow the site's regular rules.

With all of that said I hope you all will sign up for this and help get people to read something they might not have read unless you suggested it. So sign up below!

Bookworms unite! I'm definitely in. The first book I suggest... would have to be the Hunger Games? Yep. The first one.

Then we can advance to finishing Catching Fire and... dare I say it... Mockingjay.

I'm iffy on that but I do here its a decent series. I just can't see the word they live as being socially acceptable but this is from a perspective that hasn't read the books so you know

I suppose I need to go ahead and nominate something.

I might partake in this. I just got to find out if I can still use my library card. (Had an old late fee on it and what not)

Ooh... a George Orwell book. I love his works, especially 1984.
