MarzGurl Vlogs Super Sentai
 

For anyone who's been enjoying Linkara's History of Power Rangers, some of you may be interested in this, too. Another internet reviewer/Channel Awesome producer, MarzGurl, is starting a weekly vlog where she'll be watching and discussing Super Sentai from the very beginning. Seems like it could be kinda fun, if for no other reason than to get some discussion of the older shows that most of us haven't seen:

Why does that bother me so much, is that how most people pronounce it?

Eh. Not my cup of tea. She rambles too much and ends up becoming background noise for me, am glad fans are talking about what they enjoy though.

I try to pronounce it like you are trying to say jew and zoo at the same time

That's cool to see Sentai's getting the History treatment Power Rangers gets with Linkara's series. Here's hoping it does well.

It could open up shows that talk about toku series like Linkars's HOPR. I'm sure there's interest in something that discusses Kamen Rider in a HOPR fashion.

That's also the correct way of saying it. I think it is the same "Juu" as in Juuken Sentai Gekiranger and Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger (stands for "beast"). Guess Kyoryuger and Zyuranger use a different romanization for stylistic reasons. The Japanese j is just a bit closer to an s or z sound because you out your tongue a tad bit closer to your teeth, but it is still a j.

I haven't watch anyone from CA in a long time. I remember liking MarzGurl's videos. I will give this a watch for sure.

It's interesting, but maybe the format is inappropriate. I think an occasional full season review like HotPR with more editing would have fit, a weekly video recap is a bit too much (just a bit).
If I had to catch up now I'd have to marathon 40~something episodes.
Maybe I'll do it with JAQK on the same daily basis as her if she persists to the next season (she posts an episode of the day recap on tumblr).
