Noticed we have one for "My Little Pony" but not for Korra. Allow me to correct that mistake.

So, who else saw the finale?

Great show, even though it had a huge shoe to fill after the original Avatar, that finale more than set up for the plight that is to come for Korra and the gang. The show started off a bit slow for me, focused a lot more on how lives are like in Republic city and things like pro-bending just reminds me of Harry Potter and quidditch, which got a lot of attention in the earlier books, but less and less as the series went on. In fact, it has felt very Harry Potter to me so far.

I'm just wondering how the hell they got away with showing that boat scene (you know what I'm talking about) on a childrens network, a US childrens network. I mean seriously, that was some pretty dark stuff.

Because the creators purposefully made the entire series more adult, and much darker in tone. Yes there's still some comedy. But they knew their audiance grew up, and wanted the show to grow with them. Look at how dark the final season of Avatar was.

Yes, I love that about Avatar, like Harry Potter (sorry, I see a lot of similarities), it just gets darker and darker as the series goes on as the innocent crew confronts more and more with reality, just like the audience growing up.

Yes, exactly. The last three movies of Potter were daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaark.
