Welcome to a very special episode of the Talkin Toku Podcast! Last week the world was shown the first glimpse at some of the concept art that's been created for the upcoming Power Rangers movie in 2017. Originally, people called it fake and presumed it was just some fan art that someone was trying to troll the fandom with. After receiving contact from lawyers representing Lionsgate, the studio behind the movie, we're going to go out on a limb and say that they were legit. And when something big like that breaks there's only one thing you can do about it - talk with your friends about how awesome or sucky it is! And we've decided to do just that.

Join Kickback/Chris, Den-O/Jordan, and Sentai Tamashii/Tom along with our very special guests - trekkieb47/Eric, TheCinemaSlob/Zach, and Secretrangerfan/AP from our friends at the Ranger Command Power Hour Podcast, MonkieRanger/Lee from The Monkie Grid Blog, and regular guest host baltmatrix/Matt from baltmatrix YouTube Video Reviews - as we discuss these new movie concept images, what our thoughts are, what the fandom thinks, and whether or not any of it is even worth getting all hot about.

We also discovered recently that PaperCutZ, the company behind the Power Rangers Super Samurai and Power Rangers Megaforce comics, apparently no longer holds the rights to publish them. So obviously this means that someone somewhere has to publish them - and the entire crew gets together to decide which company we all think would be the best fit. Hopefully someone listens to the ideas we throw out in the podcast because we think we figured out how to make Power Rangers comics awesome for both the kids and the adult fans.

And anytime you get 8 people together you're bound to have bloopers/edits/etc., so enjoy a total of nearly 12 minutes of bloopers, broken in halves before and after the episode. And we also would like to apologize for Sentai Tamashii/Tom ... we're doing it in advance because ... well, you'll see.

Just a quick update to the NDA's that folks were getting (for the pics): Lionsgate sent Twitter a DMCA takedown notice for the pics I put on my twitter account. So yeah....

Why not a mini series on netflix? Wouldn't that be better than a rushed 2 year movie? Also, yes I had no idea legendary was involved. That's very good.

Rangerverse in the Earth-1 D.C.Universe
 

With Papercutz Publishing no longer publishing anymore Power Rangers comics, perhaps it's time to give D.C.Comics a chance to give the fan's both young and old the P.R. comicbooks we all deserve, but knowing Saban he'll only have all the Saban seasons published by D.C. Comics and all the Disney seasons by Marvel Comics simply because they are Disney Era Seasons. Why D.C. Comics? Because they are one of the Top Five Comicbook Publishers in North America along with Marvel ( they already published Power Rangers Comics in the 1990s ), IDW Publishing, Image Comics ( Not the kind that should publish Power Rangers Comicbooks ) and Dark Horse Comics ( Too dark to publish Power Rangers Comics ). Then there are others like Boom Studios ( not as long as they publish the Heilrazer Comics, but they should keep doing so ), Dynamite Entertainment ( not as big as IDW Publishing ) and many others that I can't even think of naming right now; yeah, those companies should not publish Power Rangers Comics, just any of the main five will do ( except Marvel Comics, because again, they had their chance ).
