Power Rangers Mobile Game Being Developed By nWay

Lionsgate and Saban Brands are teaming up with nWay for a new mobile game to be released next year.

nWay is an innovative San Francisco-based game company comprised of developers who have worked on some of the biggest intellectual properties in the world, including Star Wars, James Bond, Indiana Jones, The Godfather and Star Fox. nWay’s first game, ChronoBlade, launched in Asia and is coming to the U.S. this summer.

Haim Saban launched Power Rangers with “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers” as a live action television series more than 20 years ago, and it quickly became the most-watched children’s television program in the United States. It remains one of the top-rated and longest running kids live-action series in television history and has grown into one of the world’s most popular and recognizable brands, with toys, apparel, costumes, video games, DVD’s, comic books and more.

Boooo! I wanted a PR console and PC game. A big PR game seems perfect now with MMPR nostalgia being hot again and with a new movie coming out soon.

Mobile games seem to be an inevitability. Hopefully there's a developer out there somehwere working on a new console PR game. Something like that new TMNT game would be nice. Even a 3DS game for the new movie would be nice.

It's better to play games on handels, consoles and PC's in my opinion since they less drain on your power while games on Iphones will drain your phone's battery and data faster. I still don't understand why we get a big Power Rangers video game title similar to what Transformers get? PR has a lot of nostalgia vaule to it and it's not like the series died out for good. The series is more relevant than it was 10 years ago when Disney own it. Maybe if the new movie does well, Power Rangers can become more mainstream and people can take the IP more seriously.

I would be totally down for a Platinum Games Power Rangers game.

Great. Mobile. It's the easiest way for developers to earn money in short development time.

Perhaps if the movie is successful and ignites the PR franchise further we might get a quality game for consoles.
