From the movie "Godzilla against Mechagodzilla" comes a MonsterArts figure of Godzilla himself.

This figure will be a retail release in April 2018 with a 9180¥ pricetag. Pre-orders go up on Tuesday, November 28th in Japan.

As much as I love the chunky Hollywood Godzilla starring Malcolm's dad, Kickass, Scarlet Witch, and Drift the Autobot, I think this particular mold feels well-proportioned. Is this the one with Kamen Rider Gills as the protagonist or Gao Red?

I don't think so, this movie is one of the few with a main female protagonist, Akane Yashiro, played by Yumiko Shaku.

It does, but I'm waiting for in-hand pics before I consider buying it. The sloppy paint jobs are way too common in this subline sadly.

I'd love to buy one, not only because it looks so good but because Kiryu is my favorite MonsterArts figure so having this as a companion piece would be even better, but I fear this one could suffer from derpy eyes, bleeding gums or worse.

that sucks. I know the Shin SHMA's I've seen video reviews for were pretty, "meh",...and at these price points, "meh" doesn't cut it.
