DC and Marvel in Japan
Could the japanese children like the DC and Marvel current superheroes movies ?

From what I've been told over the years, Marvel and DC is not as big in Japan as most people make out to be. Spider-Man is very popular while other superheroes from Marvel and DC are hardly blockbusters.
Film historians like August Ragone (who lived in Japan before) told me that American comics hardly get translated in Japanese and don't sell well as comics over there. |
I like the japanese media knowing about american superheroes, they could learning from them.

Japan's Toku Hero, Gekko Kamen (Moonlight Mask) was inspired by Batman and Lone Ranger because their serials from the 40s where popular in Japan at the time. Gekko Kamen end up being the granddaddy for many Japanese superheroes to come.
