Man... if only there was another Power Rangers team that was active in Edo Period with a samurai motif, but I guess that's only a fantasy of fanfics. :rolleyes

Seriously. At this point I?d even take the ninja storm rangers in something. They need more love.

I'm glad that the TMNT and MMPR crossovers have become their own mini franchise.

That story could have easily been given to Ninja Storm or Samurai.

Disregarding that time travel is involved, thus it could go to anyone, why would anyone want a crossover to be wasted on a team of nobodies?

Like, I'd get wanting an original oneshot to flesh out teams of the past, but a crossover? Wherein character development is almost never the main focus?

This is probably the one property that would make more sense with one of the actual Ninja or Samurai teams instead of MMMPR.

You're calling Power Rangers Samurai a team of nobodies?

No, I'm calling the specific team that was active in Edo Japan a team of nobodies. They was the team you specifically referred to.

The Team Samurai we get to know in the season proper? Yeah, sure, that'd work. But they weren't even alive in that time period, much less an active team.

It's the nostalgia cash cow. Companies ride it for as long as they can.
That aside, I honestly am not surprised this is happening given how tied to TMNT Usagi is.
