At a very basic level, the biggest connection to SS and PR are the fight scenes, but when the show is almost completely based around those fight scenes, then more and more connectons start being made. And you're still incorrect, as I said before, things like the Magic theme in Magiranger/Mystic Force and the police theme in Dekaranger/SPD or the Adventure theme in Boukenger/Operation Overdrive are more then just fight scene, they are the entire themes of both series. Sure, they do things differently, but that is a very clear and obvious connection. Sometimes PR is more original like early Saban, but more often then not there are countless connections beyond just the fight scenes or the suits. I don't understand how you can't see that, I really don't and even then there's more connections, yes often due to the way they are using Sentai footage, but those connections breed more connections.
I'm not denying there are differences, but the fact is that there are just flat-out far, far more connections then just the fight scenes, which you stated earlier.

It can be spelt either way, there's no right or wrong, although you are correct that the pronunciation is closer to "J" then "Z". I read somewhere that it was originally going to be named as in "Jurassic Ranger" (Jyuranger) rather then how it ended up as "Beast Ranger" (Zyuranger), too.

Okay, but I don't even understand what you are arguing here any more? I was only saying that Power Rangers fans shouldn't feel bullied into watching Sentai, as long as you know that a lot of the fights aren't original footage then that is all you need to know, now you're going on some huge tangent by going after something very specific that I said? So what is your point?

That still provides no more fuel to your cause that Power Rangers fans should acknowledge Sentai, if anything you've only further proven that you don't need to know anything beyond the fact that the fights are from some Japanese TV show because even when Power Rangers adopts the same theme, it still does it in its own way.

I was debating against something specific that you said because that specific thing was incorrect.

I just think its ignorant to ignore where something you enjoy is coming from, just my opinion. I think that the original footage deserves to be acknowledged because without it, our Power Rangers wouldn't exist, at all. It annoys me when people pretend that Power Rangers isn't derived from something else, just something that irks me, or ignore that the footage is often not made just for PR. You don't watch Avengers and not know its derived from the comic books, for example, because even if you like the films and not the comics, it should be acknowledged where its roots lie. As I said before, I don't think PR fans need watch Sentai, I only started watching Sentai after I was done with all the PR seasons, but things like the events I mentioned before are what annoys me, that's all I was saying.

Do you watch every inspiration for every film and TV show you enjoy? Do you bother to find out every inspiration? I'm guessing no. Is that ignorant? Well by your logic...

And as I've said time and time again, claiming that footage from Sentai was made by the NZ/American production companies would indeed by ignorance, otherwise though whether you know or not that it comes from elsehwere makes very little difference.
