Yeah it did,but I think it's ok being as how its still revolving around the same subject,that being if the movie will succeed or not.I think the marketing was bad,but now that it's out and word of mouth is getting spread around,I think it'll slowly start to pick up pace.

I know the whole idea of Grown Ups 2 doing better is null and void.Grown Ups 2 will have a strong opening,sure.Once people see it though,I think they'll be sorely dissapointed.

I honestly think Pacific Rim had decent marketing and advertisement.I keep hearing everyone say Grown Ups 2 was better advertised.I honestly disagree.I havent seen much,if any,advertisements for it.

New data on ticket sales projects the weekend take at $50 million minimum. Good start, but not enough.

I only started seeing Grown Ups 2 commercials within the past week.

Pacific Rim has been getting advertisements and trailers in theaters for a while.

Yet just this morning, my sister asked "Is it another Transformers movie?" *sigh*

It got the hell advertised out of it. But people just didn't really get what it was meant to be.

Whatever, I still plan to see it. Just need to find time...

I know how you feel, I have had multiple people ask me that. :( (Mainly because I am the town TF/toy nerd so everyone thinks "Oh transformers, lets go annoy RJ!!")

Seems Rim is destined to join Dredd, Serenity, and Scott Pilgrim VS The World in the ranks of "awesome films that nobody saw."

Dredd was extremely frustrating for me because they had a sequel planned out and everything and then no one saw it in the US and they abandoned the project.
