Also, I find it hilarious how your faq states "Will you sub _____?
Probably not, considering we have projects at the moment and there’s probably someone else doing it.", even though everything you've done has already been done by someone else. Bar Janperson, which was you shoving the captions into Google Translate and having actual translators checking it over, and Goranger, which from 1-24 was just you changing the fonts and adding unnecessary karaoke to Bad Apple's releases, and 24 onwards is Rampage translating and you doing the exact same thing there.

I'm not entirely sure I buy your thesis from the comparison picture, Gustyguru. I'm seeing plenty of variations between the translation here, not just one or two words changed around. Similar but different translations of the same source material isn't much of a smoking gun.

And if you are right? I don't care. If PMLG's work is just a scrub of the TVN or Hibiki-Anon stuff, I can live with it. The TVN episodes look like shit and Hibiki-Anon didn't even get halfway through the show. Even if it's not a fully independent work, it's still Hibiki in significantly higher definition and I want that in my life and no one else is offering it.

Because, as many people have noted, TV-N's translation for Hibiki is mostly gibberish. And all PMLG did is make it even more gibberish. Even HKs would be above it! And the only reason he made the v3s was to replace the translation with Hibiki-Anons.
Which is probably why, as Pikamaster put it "Hibiki is slow sailing right now (super slow)". Because he doesn't have a source of subs to claim he did after 16, apart from TV-N's gibberish.
And really? It's a scrub? You might want to tell Pikamaster that, cause he seems pretty adamant that all the translation is done by him. And no, it isn't ~higher definition~ work. The raws and Hibiki-Anons scripts were already there, people are just too lazy to mux the two together.

Are we really thinking Pikamaster is ever going to finish Hibiki? He's already been distracted by the boneheaded decision to sub Drive.

(Prove me wrong, Pika. Your work is currently the best available option. I'd hate to see it stop.)

Episode 1v3 is the only decent Hibiki episode, and even then it's because he's using Hibiki-Anon's excellent scripts as a base, and claiming he translated it. 2 and onwards is just edited TV-N subs. Which would be one thing if they actually fixed any of the errors, but instead they just make them even worse.
The sad thing about all this is that if anyone actually bothered to download TV-N/Hibiki-Anon's stuff and compare it to Pikamaster's "work", it'd be incredibly obvious that he's just ripping them off.
Though there won't be any slowdown with Drive, considering all Pikamaster is going to do is the exact same thing he does with Goranger: sit back, let everyone else do the work, and then add Karaoke straight from the Aeigisub forums.

Honestly, he is using DVD quality rips, so I don't give a crap if he is just using Nihon's subs or not. If Nihon cared, they could easily redo Hibiki using DVDs and do it in a timely manner.

And if HibikiAnon cared then he would have finished the series.

Right now there's only one group working on providing dvd quality subs of Hibiki and it's PMLG.

I'm not questioning your intent. I'm sure you believe you'll finish it. But judging by the speed at which you're working (a new episode hasn't been posted in 2 months), it seems to me that your enthusiasm has already petered out. And without that, I don't know how you'll translate the next 40 episodes.

I'm rooting for you, man. But I'm also being realistic.
