It would have been a cool bonus feature, but I'm really not surprised. I expected that the movies would require a separate license since Toei has never sold the movie with the series on DVD. It's always been part of the movie collection discs, which is what Shout would probably have to license all in one go, and I doubt they are ready to commit to it that much. Or it just could have been something they didn't even consider until they were asked because they didn't realize there was a movie.

I'm glad I got Zyu regardless of the price when it first came out. I don't care what the prices are, I will support Sentai in the US. I was even ready to pay the $50 SRP for these, so getting them knocked down to $35ish was great. I even picked up a second Zyu set back in Aug and gave it away as a prize at my Sentai panel. I will be doing the same next year with Dai.

Zyu and Dai for around $30 each? Awfully tempting.

Anyway, I didn't know they had to get multiple movies licensed just for Dairanger. It's odd that Toei somehow doesn't completely own their rights...

I'm not sure if they have to, but that is my guess. From what I recall from my friend at Funimation, every movie license is usually separate from the TV series. That's why they haven't been able to just release all of the One Piece movies, they have to license each one specifically.

Yea it's toei animation Europe doing the movie stuf for Europe we have 3 disc set of the 9 film subbed

This comes out in a couple of days, I'm seriously debating ordering it...i've only seen two episodes and didn't care for them (honestly it's more due to expectations than quality though) so i've been wanting to give it another shot.

Zyuranger at $28 is super tempting too. hnng

Looks like it was delayed until Nov 24th according to AMazon. WTF?!
