It's weird since, you know, south american cultures of long ago don't know about papers or even written contracts

Basic rundown of how I'm feeling right now:-

- IzuSubs is a pretty basic, direct and dry sub with no extras (ie henshin phone convos) but comes out very fast

- GenmCorp takes a day but is very characterful and detailed; does the henshin phone conversations too. Certain lines felt a bit confusing in what they were conveying

- JawsSubs is a lot more clear in a lot of things but takes a couple days, and a few lines aren't fantastic. Did both the henshin phone conversations and the south american in the flashback


I feel all the flaws with Genm and Jaws (aside from the time) is to do with Genm not being used to Revice and Jaws being a completely new group; ie teething problems that will very quickly go away. I feel that they're the best options for Revice in terms of quality, but if you wanna watch the episode asap then Izu's subs are far from horrible

Late reply, but I want to remind that even saving the world doesn't mean they don't have personal motivations or necessarily want to help others. They just have the power (or probably genius level intellect) that allows them to do so. And it applies too for the ones who help people after becoming Rider, it doesn't mean that they "magically" get the urge to help people, it's just that they already want to help people from the very beginning (disagree with the notion that helping others can only be done as Riders or fighting), but becoming a Rider lets them contribute to far greater things than what a normal human can do in their daily job due to the Rider's power.

In short, power (or toku intellect) lets you contribute far greater, but moral doesn't necessarily measure corresponding to those 2. Yeah, like I already said too; like Momo, Vice is loud, loves to fight and show off his strength as well, and a representation of Ikki's inner demon (like how the Taros take up Ryotaro's traits into flaws). Both Vice and Momo, albeit comical, are obviously morally questionable as well; Vice fights for selfish reason, only for self-preservance, protecting Revi so he wouldn't die with Revi dying, as well as attempting to eat humans if he's let off of his leash (with him employing tasteless joke by claiming his attempt to eat Yukimi as this, a reminder that jokes can really be misused for that).

I think Legend Rider Form is only aesthetic, doubt if they appropriately represent the 'correct' animal of the past Riders, but I'd like it too if they stick exclusively into extinct animals, or probably exclusively demons and many of their kind.

Counter point: Kamen Rider Amazon scientifically proved that the Aztecs were technologically advanced enough to create a cyborg.

your right also I never realized that 2 of my least favorite Rider series (that I've seen) do this (555/Ghost) (give the main character motives beyond "I want to make everyone happy" initially which I do like, the problem is EVERYONE in 555 minus Yuka and Kiba(the former of whom dies and then the later get's butchered from a writing standpoint because Inoue needed a conflict for the last few episodes) is an asshole complete with Kusaka who if it weren't for Kiriya from Hibiki would be a shoe in for the worst character in the franchise (keep in mind I consider Banno/Masamune from Drive/Ex-Aid to be the least likable characters in the franchise but your very much supposed to hate them and I think they did a good job with that). Ghost is much like Wizard a show of good ideas held back by terrible execution/a crappy cast that ranges from wasted at best to bland to irritating, and dreadful pacing and it doesn't even have Wizard's redeemable factor of having well written/interesting villains (or let me rephrase that it's an interesting idea on paper but horribly executed)

I watched Ex-Aid via Genm and thought they were fairly good. Do we know why they didn't finish Saber? Was it a lack of interest?

Anyway, I think I'll go with Jaws to start. Earthly is working with them, and I've liked their subs in the past.

It's the first time I've actually done something like this; it was a super interesting time to not just rewatch the first episode of something after it aired for the first time, but to watch it with different subs. I may just have to keep that up for future Rider and Sentai shows...

I actually didn't know Genm did Ex-Aid; I thought they started with Build! Either way, the reason they didn't finish Saber is because at the time they were facing financial problems -- they did try to catch up once it was over but obviously they really fell behind. They've also said they're not sure yet if they're committed to doing Revice
