I agree 100%, I've been around long enough to see variations on this in realtime at least twice before, the "Toku is OVER" rumour.

I said someone ELSE said Sentai is a failing brand (Though the ratings and income from toys ARE going down, its a fact.). Not trying to be rude, but at least make sure you understand what someone is saying before you start getting all aggressive.

I get the impression that you are young-ish, or maybe just new to fandom, but you are gonna struggle to find many friends if you take everything so personally. You'll notice I'm plenty critical of peoples ideas but not critical of the PEOPLE.

TBH when i was younger i acted like you plenty of times, its really no big deal, my point is its going to hurt you more than it could possibly hurt me. Just take all of this as people having fun talking about their passions. You aren't going to find a lot of people here who hate Sentai or any Toku property, maybe we like one more than the other, but we are all here to talk about the facts pertaining to the shows. Its not making fun of eachother, or hurtful, to disagree, so theres never any reason for the aggressive posturing. If you are sure about something , just say you are sure, be confident, not angry.

Also, Just remember theres a lot of people in here talking to eachother as a crowd, if you thought anything i was saying before was directed at you specifically, I'm pretty sure you were mistaken.

So, suppose the rumored detective story is greenlit. Yay, or nay folks? As much as I am saddened of what may be no more Super Sentai as of 2026, perhaps it's time Toei went back to the drawing board to come up with new toku hero shows or revive old ones for a new generation.

Considering that only Super Sentai's departure from TV Asahi is known for certain, I suspect a new, possibly detective, show will replace Super Sentai on Super Hero Time, and the Rangers themselves won't disappear, but will instead change platforms. Knowing Toei's conservative nature, I imagine they would have announced more radical changes in advance. And so, silence before the official announcement could well have seemed like a good strategy to someone in the marketing department to warm up interest.

Somehow this particular rumor is the one that is too absurd for me to take seriously. Cue this being what actually happens. I will admit though, I could definitely see the name Universe Heroes being used for a revival of the Metal Heroes series in some markets so, hmm...

I mean, this lines up perfectly with the detective rumors since, you know, Gavan is a cop. The question is will this be a fresh reboot, or will this follow up on Space Squad in any form?
