I would suggest the set that came from Mill Creek. They have both dubbed and subbed, video quality is good, and the price isn't expensive ( last I looked). It's the set I have and I'm quite happy with it
Agreed, the Mill Creek set is your best value for Ultraman, and the only legal way to get the series here in the US. There's a few episodes on the set where the subtitles are not quite matched up, but you always have the dubs available for those few episodes.

To answer an earlier question put here about Seven's demeanor toward LEo in his series. I put it down on him being a drill instructor training Leo in the use of his techniques. I think Seven is trying to prepare Leo for the role he has to play while he's playing it. Being cruel to condition Leo.
I have to add I like the symmetry of Seven choosing Leo to train Zero later on. I think that was a nice acknowledgement by Seven over how well Leo has grown. |

So I upon my watching of Ultraman I finished watching the episode "Terrifying Cosmic Rays" and man
SPOILERS BELOW . .. ... .... ..... Alright, what is the deal with this episode? This actually upset me and not in the good way because the whole plot is a monster drawing that comes to life and then just sleeps. The Science Patrol do not come off well as they mercilessly attack a peaceful creature simply because "the economy is suffering" which only worked when he fell asleep in the middle of downtown, but the very next day he falls asleep in the countryside by a river and it just... the monster wasn't doing anything. ULtraman was beating him up but then seemed to get his head out of his butt and sent him into space to live as a constellation. But this episode was such a change where the patrol squad and even Ultraman come off as more villainous than normal. Maybe it's just me. |

So the "Monster Graveyard" episode was extremely excellent. I'm looking at it like an apology (or something similar but it's the only word I can think of) for the "Terrifying Cosmic Rays" one with everyone treating the monsters with respect and being remorseful for having to do away with them because of them being actually dangerous. It was a nice change of pace.

Need to find Gaia Episode 13.

Is there a reason Ginga was low budget? |
Just remembered when I was a kid I was blessed with the chance to see Ultraman 80. The whole Ultraman as a teacher is interesting looking back, and I kinda cried watching the 80 ep in Mebius a while back. What really was crazy was when the pupils who are all in their 40s circa 2006 showed up as guests.

Tsuburaya put up the first 4 minutes of the Ginga S movie. It's pretty cool. I hope the whole movie's cool. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m443-DTv2Rs |

So what do you guys think of the new Ultraman design? Personally, I think it works. It's probably my favorite costume for the character. |
Nice April Fools attempt KRX ;P
Just watched Ultraman Dyna episode 1 and 2 subbed on Youtube! They were pretty badass! Ultraman Tiga had the best show out of three (Tiga, Dyna, Gaia) but I always liked Dyna and Gaia's designs better than Tiga's. Am I the only one who thinks that?
I've seen up to Episode 5 of Dyna.
Gaia is one of my favorite Ultras. I need to find episode 13. Anyone know where I can find the other nine episodes of Ultraman Neos??? I found the first three on YouTube. But that's as far as they go. |
my favorite Ultraman is Tiga.
I recently finished Great. I'll probably watch it again for nostalgic reasons. He was the first Ultra I was ever exposed to. And I hope to cosplay as Jack Shindo someday.

All thirteen Great & Powered episodes can be found on YouTube.
Ultraman Great vs Ultraman Powered. Which do you guys like better? I like Powered's design and the redesigns of the Ultraman kaiju, they were awesome.
Great's the only Ultra without an Ultra Beam. Powered's unique trait is his eyes changing red when his Color Timer starts flashing.
Ultraman Leo didn't have any "L" or "+" style Ultra beams either.
I think he had some kind of beam. He just preferred close combat.
I unabashedly love the American opening for Ultraman Tiga.
That was a good song.

the best part is when it talks to the viewer. gives it a really uplifting feel. |
Oh wow, Tsuburaya put English subtitles on Ultra Fight Victory. Neat!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QN87MQhp-f0 |
That is really cool of them to do that.
Thanks for the tip! It's a nice thing of them.
really should be put on the main page so it can get more views and likes to show Tsuburaya that people want more subbed stuff
The guy who voiced the monster in the latest episode of Ninninger voiced a ton of monsters in Ultraman! More specifically Tiga!

Ultra Fight Victory looks awesome! The whole flute/sword thing is pretty corny but still badass!
Yeah! Normally a flute can't be an offensive weapon unless it has certain characteristics like turning into a sword or being used like a blowpipe like Kamen Rider Habataki used.
If anybody wants to see it TVNihon released the, I believe, first Ginga theatrical special.
