Maybe they are from another universe where Kami made 9 set of Dragon Balls instead of seven. If they are from the main DB universe then that would be a big plot hole unless they explain it. I remember the Black Star Dragon Balls in GT was a big issue with fans since Pilaf was able to find them with his radar at Kami's lookout while Bluma's radar in the past was unable detect them.

It's an adaptation of the anime, which premieres in just about 2 weeks. Early leaks like this are bound to happen.

The manga chapter has me hype. I guess each episodes of Super will likely have their own timeline placement. Chapter 1 of the manga looks like it's set somewhere during BOG before Beerus arrives on King Kai's Planet.

Well when you release new material to a series that ended 20 years ago, retcons and new plot holes are bound to happen. In Jaco, Bulma has already graduated from university. This conflicts in the Red Ribbon arc, where Bulma mentions dropping g out of school because it was dull.

But bulma was just five year in Jaco you sure your not talking bout her sister tights. Next time Jaco meets bulma was when bulma start her search for the dragon balls

Tickets are finally going on sale for the US theatrical release of Resurrection F tomorrow!

The official website doesn't include a list of theaters (like I believe they did for Battle of Gods), so went to Fandango... Only two that showed up for me are ones I don't even know how to get to them. :/ Surprised Alamo Drafthouse doesn't have anything (especially since it's where I saw BoG), but then maybe they just aren't showing up yet.

Edit: 1. I'm dumb, one actually isn't far at all. Somehow just never realized there was a theater there. So if Alamo doesn't, guess I'll go to that one.

Super Dragon Balls? As in... GT? Toriyama you devil you.

The whole universal traveling stuff sounds really cool. I think they should rename this show as Dragon Ball: Decade :lol. Diend would show up to troll everyone on the last second to steal the super dragon balls :p.

While I'm pretty well behind what Toriyama is generally telling us will happen, I can't help but be confused why so many people thought GT was too out there for Dragonball when Toriyama is introducing all these whacky ideas.

Super Dragonballs? Black Stars come to mind. Travelling to other universes in search of them? Travelling the universe for the Black Stars. I can't help but make a comparison of the two. It just kind of annoys me people are only accepting of generally the same ideas because the man himself is doing it this time.

But I can't be the only person who feels insanely cheated that he's talking about doing Battle of the Gods & Resurrection F arcs in this show. He's talking about the first arc of the show not only being a lead up to BoG but also "retelling" that story in TV format. And then doing the the same thing for RF. So exactly how many episodes out of the promised 100 will be just rehash of the 2 movies? Because we're getting all of that stuff before the universe hopping for the 3rd arc even starts. And he's promising tons of new characters but where and when will they be developed?

I'm still hyped as hell for a new show, but the blind loyalism to what Toriyama's doing simply because he's him is ridiculous. I want this show to be great and original not 50% rehash.

Yeah, unless its being done with a fresh point of view or with some sort of unique spin I'm not really interested in watching retellings of the movies.

I see what you mean since I always want to see new great and original ideas in the DB series. I hope that rehashes of the new movies won't take too long in the show. I don't like the idea of retelling the new movies into a story arcs in the show because it makes the new movies feel pointless. Why make new films if you are just going to retell them later into a TV show? I do look forward to the new Universes since it lead up room to creativity for different worlds. I just hope for the best when watching Super.

The idea for the new Dragon Balls does sound similar to what we got in GT. At least I hope they executed the new Dragon Balls better then GT did. My biggest issue with the Black Star Dragon Balls in GT is that Pilaf was able to find them when no else knew about them for years. Why weren't the Black Star Balls discovered with the Bluma's dragon radar immediately while Pilaf somehow found them years later? I always felt like GT had potential to be great, but everything fall felt pretty quick in my opinion. Goku being a kid was fun while it lasted and I also found the first half of GT to be pretty boring until Bebi show up.

I wish they didn't do the whole villains escaping out of Hell in GT since Fusion Reborn already did it two years earlier. Not to mention having #17 become a main villain always sound off to me since he was hardly special in my opinion. The Shadow Dragon saga was okay, but I wish Syn/Omega Shenron was a better written villain. He always came off generic in my opinion and I felt like that we didn't get much development out of his character. He shows up out of nowhere without any proper build up to his character like we got with Freeza, Cell and Buu in DBZ.

I always just assumed that the Black Star Dragonballs had never been found via radar before because they were at the lookout and perhaps the radar as a piece of technology wouldn't be able to detect such a mystical place. That or the Black Star Dragonballs didn't emit the same type of signal for detection as the normal balls. Pilaf had also created a device at least once that could interfere with the electromagnetic pulse the balls emit. Perhaps he did that?

Either way we don't see the radar used to detect them til after Bulma upgrades the Radar for use in the wider range of open space. So it's very possible that they do emit a different signal that was only detectable after that upgrade.

The problem with GT isn't that it is out there, the problem with GT is the execution and the writing. Not to mention its insults to all of the characters that aren't Goku.

Anyway, we'll see. I want to see the multiverse, but I hope it isn't just a rehashing like you believe Den-O. It can't be, right? Then again, every DBZ arc was just a rehash, so who knows.

If the first arc really is just a retelling of the movies...it sure makes me glad that I haven't seen either of them yet.

So what about Dragon Ball: Yo! Son Goku and His Friends Return? Are they going to ignore that now if they having Battle of Gods being set right after Majin Buu was defeated? I know some people didn't like it, but it still happen in the timeline since Bulma mention Tarble in Battle of Gods. The official site for the 30th anniversary of the franchise doesn't even acknowledge GT and Son Goku and His Friends Return in its timeline.
