Question: Which is the worst precure series?

Pretty Cure's great! I remember watching the first episode of Futari wa when I was young, but Mepple's voice grated on my ears and it turned me off to the show entirely. But upon seeing one of my favorite bloggers gush about Heartcatch, I decided to check it out, and man it won me over! I still consider Heartcatch to be my favorite Precure series, even though it's been a while since I've seen it. A couple years later, I saw Splash Star and liked it. Now I've seen Suite, Dokidoki, Happiness Charge, and currently Go! Princess Precure. I haven't seen Futari wa+Max Heart, Yes, Fresh, or Smile. I consider Happiness Charge to be the weakest season despite it having my favorite character.

Unfortunately, as much as I like Pretty Cure, I ABSOLUTELY HATE THE FANDOM, ESPECIALLY THE TUMBLR SECTION OF IT!!!! Dear lord, I have never seen such hateful, bitter, closed-minded, judgmental SJWs in a fandom for a kids show in my entire life! Some of the elite members there treated me like garbage and made me out to be some spawn of Satan all because I featured the mildest implications of rape and victim blaming in my fan fic (Don't worry, it wasn't NC-17 worthy stuff). I had similar content in my other fan fics but nobody I knew made a huge deal of it like these SJWs did! They hated my fan fic in general and keep accusing it of being offensive, ableist, and problematic, but never elaborated on why, and when they did, it was always "you're doing this therefore you're awful." Not only that, ever since one incident, whenever I make a mistake in my writing, they don't handle it like rational people or PM me about it. Instead, they make a huge song and dance about it and paint me to be some slut shaming rape culture advocate! And when I tried to stick up for myself once, one person, the author of a Precure fan fic I really liked, wrote a ten paragraph rant about how I'm a bad person who doesn't care about anyone but myself because I didn't put trigger warnings in (knew nothing about them at the time) and how I have no empathy and don't care about people I offend and a bunch of other lies! Good lord! I'd show you, but I'm pretty sure there's gotta be a rule around here that doesn't allow discussion of internet drama. The people there have hurt me in ways you can't imagine! I stopped enjoying writing because of them, and I'm still trying to recover!

*sigh* But I have met some good people in the fandom who have become my best friends, so it's not all bad. Overall, I like Precure, hate the fandom.

saban brand are dubbing a season i dunno what season of pre cure the image is from but it be called glitter force.

short synopsis of the show is this

That's Smile. And...I have no idea how to feel about this.

Glitter Force is a terrible title, though.

Worst case scenario Precure dies in the states once again, we return to the status quo, best case scenario it gets so popular that my sisters have to ask why the hell I watch the japanese version of a show their kids like.
It's probably not something to panic right now, at least they didn't remove that many episodes.

It's not awful per se... but it's pretty bland.

At least if your neice like the show you can show them the missing 10 episode

Second time I be leave ocean group dub the first season

so decided to get back in to watching every season of precure and i went back ot futari wa pretty cure max heart 2nd season to the first season i will be going on to splace the yes then precure 5 go go so on till i am cought up

Happiness Charge. Even in a series that usually features the "typical girl" lead, Megumi was exceptionally boring and doesn't have any real personality traits. She also doesn't become the main character until around episode 30, up until there it pretty much stars Hime (who even makes a joke about it at one point). The two others fall into the background quicker than any others have before too, especially Yuko, who I think maybe gets one episode in the latter half of the series.

A lot of interesting plots are teased, but either resolved in the same episode or just have no pay off. Hime's whole reason for being around is to restore her kingdom, but when she does that, it's barely mentioned and we're not even told why she continues to fight as a Precure. We can guess, but by that point the whole show has become about a love triangle involving the main character, so the other three Cures are deadweight.

It overall just feels like wasted potential. Most of the characters are setup well and there's some great ideas, but none of them are explored because of the focus on the romance aspects and unless you're really into shipping those characters, it's just painful. I don't come to Precure to see male characters angsting over girls not liking them.

Only Saban Brands could come up with a lackluster name like Glitter Force.

Started splash star ten episode in and I love it and I'm already theorying how it can link to original by fan their of mine. Mainly in Mai mother looking like a older honaka

Rather excited about the news for Glitter Force, and for the possibility of it showing up on Netflix. :) Any international exposure for the Precures is a good thing, in my opinion.

Hey don't underestimate the power of glitter! Shit's like crabgrass, Gypsy moths or the herpes simplex virus, shit gets everywhere and ruins everything for everyone! :lol

But seriously, the name sounds cute. Could have used another word in the title.

If Glitter Force becomes successful in the US, we all know this will happen next knowing Saban.

So it's a 20 episode season but that other thing said 40.

Does Smile have a mid-season upgrade to justify a rebranding?

From what I understand, sort of. Precure tend to get special forms for their finishing attacks around mid- or late-season...but it's usually just for those attacks. It's not really something they really use that much, and while I haven't seen Smile I don't have any reason to believe the "Princess" forms are any different. So who knows how they'll handle that.

For Kyroyuger they're straight up making their own upgrades, and using the other Rangers as gimmicks.

The Princess forms work perfectly for this, but they'd struggle with most of the other seasons. DokiDoki has no upgrade like that, although they do get a new character which I guess they could similarly hype up (and upset all the American kids with now too).

Almost finished splash star and be movie on to yes. I'm going to miss saki and mai they became my fave cure taking the top spot from nagisa and honoka

New season has been trad marked and will be called ahō Tsukai Precure (Magic User Precure) was filed, and went public on Thursday.

Sounds magical.

So I'm watching Futari wa. I'm 5 episodes in, it's alright I suppose, but...I sure hope at some point it starts feeling like "Futari wa Precure." Right now it's feeling more like "Nagisa wa Precure (with guest appearances by Honoka)." Why they didn't just alternate focus between the two instead of just having Nagisa as the main is beyond me.

Or just having Honoka as the mc. She's way cooler. And Mepple sucks. Oh well.

It will early episode are like that.

Ok glitter force Is now on Netflix fist 20 episode and well um voice acting good and it feels to much like they made it power rangers for girls.

Sorry for double post but for adaption dub what adaption dub is like how saban adapted digimon for western market by americanising it glitter force growing on me and not as bad as I think it was few episode at start. Also adaption dub like power ranger adaption of super sentai

Go! Princess Precure was a very good series. Definitely the best Precure I've watched since Heartcatch. I say that half tongue-in-cheek though considering that I was watching Princess before I watched HC and the only other one I've watched is Futari wa. But yeah. It was pretty great throughout.

It won't really matter in the long run, but man, what the hell. For having ended a lifelong friendship for over a year, this isn't even playground level conflict. It's nothing is what it is.

I'm five episodes in now and jeez...these two girls are really into fighting for some dumb shit reasons. With each other, and others. "My dad said a weird thing once I HATE MUSIC FOREVER." "[Weird argument] I'm gonna quit being a cure!"

I mean, fun show, but it's getting old.
