I'm cool with that. It's the Rainbow that doesn't sit well with me. As cool as it would look aesthetically, it would be hard as hell for our artist. So I like the white for it.... Or we can go down the middle road and have the Cosmic Sentai be pearlescent. It's an off white/pink, that when looked at from different angles has all the colors in it. But that too would be hell to do, so lets just go with white and give them a reflective sheen. I'm sure there's a thing out there for our artist to do that affect with? If not, then plain white.

Let's give it white then. I think if we're using white, we should get rid of the light and dark idea. Let's make a cyan ranger with ice as an element maybe purple can be metal? I'm not sure about purple, but what do you think of cyan and ice?

I like this line up of extra rangers. Have orange and violet appear together (a yin and yang type of ordeal), then silver could appear and gold to counter before they join the team and white (since rainbow was ruled out) could be the last to appear/powerhouse of the team.

again, I would love it if we had pink as an extra member. we did talk about that.

Here's how I view it. Gold and Silver, the Sun/Solar and Moon/Lunar, they are light and dark. One presides over day (light), while the other presides over night (dark). It's a simple manner of connecting relations and using semantics.
As for the Pink ranger being nature, they are all nature. Even the green ranger is over plan life. Why not make her technology? She could be like KyoryuViolet in a sense. Hell, I can start working on an origin idea for her. *chuckles*

Well, we could have her be animals in general. I think the creatures of the earth are as much of the earth as the elements are. Plus, didn't we want her to also be a tomboy as well? We could have animals reflect her desire of being free like them or something.

I think it would be kind redundant to have her be the animal "element" since we have animal based mecha. And nobody said anything about her being a tomboy?

It was around this post when there was talk of a tomboy pink.

The fact that I said that, and don't remember doing so, just goes to show how bad my memory is lately. Sorry. -_-' But when I said that, judging by the statement, I think my point was kind of valid. We've only had two real tomboy pinks. And I don't like stereotypical color/personalities. People think of pink and say its the prissy girl color. And there are plenty of corresponding characters in the past to support that claim. In both Sentai and anime. I wouldn't mind her being a tomboy, but I don't want her to be the butch lesbian tomboy. I want her to be the girl that isn't afraid to stand up and fight, but is also the girl that cares about her appearance. Kind of like how Kimberly was near the end of run as pink.

I can see her being this cool biker girl who wears jeans and leather, kinda like the racer girl from Ultraman Mebius. Only ours could have slightly shorter hair.

I kind of like the idea of her being a smart girl like Kendal, but tough like Jen.

I kinda feel, that if we're going to give her a biker girl/tomboy-esque motif, a free-spirit kind of character would be good. someone just wanting to break out and be free, using her motorcycle as a means of expressing that.

I am down with the pink ranger being a tomboy idea. I actually think it would be really neat. But can we not have silver and gold? I was thinking about it and those two colors are so overdone in the realm of sixth rangers. Dark can be violet and light can be orange, pink can be metal, and cyan can be ice.

But I am up for other suggestions. If you guys want to rock gold and silver, that is cool. Just want the team to stand out a little more

The only reason I support the Gold/Silver coupling is because of my correspondence OCD. According to pagan practices Gold is the metal of the sun, the proprietary giver of light. While Silver if the metal of the moon, darkness because of the night. That's the only reason I'm stuck there. Everything else when it comes to color/element I'm willing to deal with.

If we have the goddess character, why not have her be cosmic? Granted it may a bit obvious, but why not?

I was thinking cosmic could be like an old sage, or something like that.

So what to we have so far? I know we wan't gold and silver as some combination of Light/Solar and Dark/Lunar and I think we went with White for the Cosmic but the other two im lost on.

I don't know anymore. We put so much emphasis on the Gold/Silver argument/discussion that I forgot about the rest. I do think we should make a technological one. My reason being is that technology is taking on a life of its own these days. It's kind of become its own thing. We as a race kind of depend on it for so many things. And we could use it as an excuse for a side/support character to become a ranger because they fashion their own morphers, suit, and whatnot.

maybe an almost ranger ala White Racer and Shinken Brown

If we make a tech ranger then it should be an evil counterpart because technology could be killing nature and the elements.

Funny how these comments came out. Because my statement was going to be that we use technology to try and preserve nature these days too. So the switcheroo would be perfect. I wouldn't go so far as Mele and Rio because they didn't have a ranger form. Maybe something like Shadow Moon or AbareKiller. Actually Shadow Moon would be more appropriate, in design and concept, not actual character. Villain using the hero's ideas against them and them joining them. Or would Wolzard be a better representation of this?
