Anyway, I didn't know someone was actively subbing Battle Fever J.

Well, their group is kind of low key I guess. But they're doing After-V and Juspion too, so hopefully they get more attention.

Yesssssss! It's so nice not having to watch those horrible old VHS rips. The audio popping was killing me on those. I hope ME makes it to the end of BF.

Anyone know who DFF are? I looked on the new unsorted tab on KRDL and found Changeman subs up to 55. It's a show I've been interested in since Gokaiger but a google search yielded so many results as to what DFF could stand for in the subbing world I got nowhere.

Dead Fish Fansubs. I believe they're pretty reputable, but haven't checked any of their stuff out myself as a lot of it went down with Megaupload.

Do Dead Fish not have a site or something? I can't seem to find anything other than the stuff in the unsorted tab.

Not for their toku releases no. All of their stuff (which ranged from Showa Sentai to various Metal Heroes stuff and more) was all stored on Megaupload, and when that went down the site pretty much went down with it.

As far as I know all Dead Fish do these days is do SD encodes of other groups' anime fansubs.

I wonder where all these Changman subs have come from then...

I assume someone just had them stored and passed them on to KRDL.

It looks like KRDL now has them all bar four random episodes, so I guess you'll need to read plot summaries for those or something but at least you get near enough the entire show. There aren't like thirty episodes missing.

Speaking of KRDL, They need $150 to pay the bills and the new server. So click an ad or two if you can.

No they don't. Like I said earlier all they do is take other groups' subs and make mp4 hardsub encodes.

DFF did pretty much the entire series, minus episodes 21 and 25 (and 1-8, but TVN did those). Those 2 episodes aren't required to get the plot of Changeman, but they're cute little episodes really. Kind of sad he didn't go back and do those last 2 eps.

EDIT: Oh right, Abaranger 14 is out. :)

So a group by the name of Free Joker are scrubbing Over-Time's Gokaiger releases with blu-ray raws, as well as fixing early inconsistencies/mistakes as well as adding a sub track with insert songs. They're up to episode 16 so far.

Gonna check it out just to have copies that don't have that damn clock in them.

We have just formed a new group called Bad Apple Fansubs for the purpose of subbing series that no one else will touch. We have funding to pay for professional translation and subtitling and it is our goal to start with Goranger and release between 5 and 10 episodes per week, then move on to JAKQ, then whatever else no one else will touch.

We don't care about difficulty or quality of available raw video sources. We care about the history of Sentai and would like all English speaking people to be able to understand what they watch in these wonderful early series.

Knowledge of the stories is the most important thing. We will do everything we can to get that knowledge out there and will not lose interest or stop until the job is finished.

We are launching a blog as well, where we will provide updates and download links as they are available.

Does that also means others super sentai will been taking up by you guys when you both are finished with Goranger and JAKQ?

A question about Bad Apple subs. Aside from Goranger and JAKQ, will you be mainly be focusing on older Sentais or will you also focus on other non-Sentai series? I know there's been a ton of inconsistent subs for Metal Heroes, and I think a lot of people would love to see the original Gavan translated.

The tentative plan is to start at the beginning with Goranger, then go chronologically from there picking up what is left. So after Goranger, it will be JAKQ, then Batle Fever J, and then we will look at others that have not been done or have not been done well.

I personally don't know a lot about Super Sentai as an entire franchise like a lot of you do, so I will be depending on input from my partners at Bad Apple Fansubs and comments from this community to determine what should be done after Goranger and JAKQ.

Goranger will probably take until September to complete or maybe a little later, and we will try to get out as many episodes as we can each week. They won't be 100% perfect and I am sure people will nit pick here and there, but 98% of the story and dialog will be understandable by English speaking people for the first time, which to us, is the most important thing.

Thank you kindly. It was a tough episode. Fast dialog and a lot of it. About twice as much dialog as the other episodes. Took a while to get just right.

Edit: Unrelated to the above, but according to a post on Overtime, HaroRangers is looking for timers to restart Hurricanger. Fingers crossed we'll finally get it fully subbed!

Another guy besides Megabeastempire are doing the Battle Fever J with some help from vhs tapes. So basically now we got 2 people who doing Battle Fever J....

But for better viewing experience then you should take megabeastempire sub version because they put more work into the releases.

But I really hope one of them complete Battle Fever J before Badapplefansubs comes and take the show, because if Battle Fever J get its fully treatment then badapplefansubs don¨t need to take the show, and then they will hurry one to the next one who is Denziman:)

We don't want to step on anyone's toes, so if Battle Fever J is still being worked on by the time we finish Goranger and JAKQ, we will skip it and go onto Denziman if no one has picked it up. This process takes a lot of dedication and care and we wouldn't want to undermine anyone's work in any way.

Couple of things to note about Nemet's work:

- He isn't doing new subs like Megabeast are, he's just retiming the JPN subs to Bunny Hat's raws and correcting any spelling/grammar errors
- He's only providing scripts on his site from what I can see, so you'll need to torrent the raws separately (the link is on the site).

Still, it'll be good to have the JPN subs put to good video while Megabeast works through the show properly!

And GUIS are finally back with more Bioman, and this time it is episode 37:)
