Yeah, not as damning as Derpy's vocal appearance in The Last Roundup, but it's up there.

But aside from people reading too much into a kids show, it's a slapstick-tastic episode.

Yeah. I never understood the controversy surrounding Feeling Pinkie Keen. I found it to be hilarious (For MLP, which doesn't do constant slapstick all the time, having one episode completely dedicated to it was kind of fun).
I guess some people read too deep into things sometimes.

Ugh i hate derpys new voice, It makes her sound like a dumb blond. The old one was much better.

Well, apparently Tabitha St. Germain didn't know Derpy was a mare, so she tried to emulate the voice of, I think one of her neighbor's sons or something.

And it's a shame, Tabitha can do a very convincing male voice (Kevin from Ed, Edd, n Eddy) but Derpy's original voice sounded a tad too androgynous IMO.

Not to mention backlash for claims of being ableist. And Hasbro had just finished putting out the last ember from the "Power Core Combiners Spastic/Overrun" fiasco.

EDIT: whoops. I have just realized that Kevin is ACTUALLY voided by Kathleen Barr, not Tabitha St. Germain. Tabitha DID, however, voice Nazz.

Alright, just finished episode 17 so I think it's time for a quick update. One, Suited for Success was a great episode for both Rarity and the series. Also, have I mentioned Art of the Dress? Didn't care much for it at first, but it grew on me really fast. As a designer myself I really do connect with her on that level. (happy now Matrix?) Also, this is just a personal opinion but I find the CMCs to be a little annoying from time to time... I am not kidding.

But I am glad you liked Suited for Success. I really love that episode and it did a lot to win Rarity over for me.

Anyway, the CMC do get a little annoying, I can't defend them, but I honestly like them. Whether they get better or worse over the course of the series really boils down to whether or not you can tolerate them or if their every action gets on your nerves.

Art of the Dress is awesome, and you like Twilight that much eh? Nice. She's fluctuating between second through fourth for favorite pony for me.

I'm gonna withhold asking for a favorite episode until you finish Season 1.

Wow, I was kind of expecting a big rage rant over my opinion of the CMCs. :lol Anyway, yeah Twilight is hands down my favorite so in order to give the others a fair shot I simply removed her from the running.

As for a favorite episode... Yeah I've still got nine episodes to go so I'll decide sometime after that. Also, this show needs to be like, 20% cooler. :p

And yes, this guy thinks Rarity is best horse, not best pony, which due to wording, I take as "Rarity is best fictional equine out of all fictional equids. Sorry Mr. Ed and Marty the Zebra." Because Rarity is Awesome.
Also, while I do like them, I will acknowledge that the CMC's can be annoying. But then again, kids can be annoying.
Also, keep Twilight's "Super 1" rank in mind for later down the road.

The CMC aren't for everyone (Which might make their episode a bit painful for you :lol). It's just one of those things.

Twilight is lovable, which is why she's sometimes 2nd favorite, I just found the other ponies to be more interesting to me, is all.

I didn't love her in the beginning, and >50 episodes later, I still don't love her. I doubt the last 4ish episodes will change my mind.
Also her voice sucks.

That's just petty. Tabitha St. Germain does a wonderful job.

And I actually hated her in the start. I grew to love her over time :3

Fair enough.

In the anime series Shakugan No Shana, the title character Shana was played by Tabitha St. Germain for the dub of the first season (before Geneon went under and the license was picked up by Funimation). in the second and third season, Shana was played by Cherami Leigh and although both were very very good in portraying the character, I still prefer Germain's performance over Leigh's. Tabitha St. Germain plays Rarity and also gives a great performance. Especially in Suited for Success where she has to change rapidly through enthusiasm to frustration and even depressed which she does nigh flawlessly... But that's just my opinion.

Her to, always good to see a Bionicle fan.

I like the CMC, some find them annoying, but I personally find them endearing...then again...I've had 3 seasons with them.

I love her design, white and purple really complimented each other well, coupled with her acorn eyes most Unicorn get,
But it wasn't until around Sisterhooves Social that propelled Rarity from "Meh character with a few good moments" to "Absolute favorite."
